Twenty-two interceptions led to a 9-7 season. You can't get away from that.

Without at least half of those interceptions we would be champions of the AFC East right now, instead of having the HC chopped off and wondering whether our 'touchdown maker' (excuse me, I mean INT thrower) is coming back to help us sell the PSLs next year.

How many called plays were changed by Brett at the line of scrimmage this year? I would be most interested in that stat and also how they turned out.

How many of these games do you think Mangini lost and how many of those games do you think those 22 interceptions lost?

You change the team with all these free agent acquisitions. At the last moment, you change QBs less than a month before the season begins.

It's all the coach's fault. He couldn't handle the players, and he ruined Brett's game for the Jets with his stoicism.

The big picture calls for Brett to stay, Mangini to go, and someone else to come in and build on this great foundation that Mangini made for the NYJs.

I just hope Brett gets to interpret his own MRI and decides the grass is so much greener in Tupelo than in Floral Park.

Otherwise, I fear we're in for a long winter of at least another year or so.

So much for global warming...always thought it was a fraud.

We will never win the AFC east next year. The patriots were decimated by injuries this year and we still couldn't win the division. Next year we would probably need to 13 or 14 games to to take it and thats not happening with any coach.

Clemens, Ratliff, Ainge - anybody but a 40 year old pick machine that cares only for keeping his stupid streak alive and not having to give up the game even when it has passed him by. Can't you people see that is all Favre is about? The streak and not being able to walk away?

Clemens, Ratliff, Ainge These Guys are not viable options for a team that need to win now we cant wait the 3 years or so they will take to develop... we need a proven QB... if we gave to ball to any of those guys this entire board would be bitching agian about how we need a QB ...

I'm sure that's the first thing you said about Brady and Cassell before they had their shot, too. Fact of the matter is, we simply don't know either way. We haven't seen them play much, and we don't have the luxury of watching them practice all damn day. Pretending like you have the answer is pathetic.

Whatever, you can do what you want, its a free country. If you not cheering for us, I hope you sell your tickets, so someone that loves the Jets can go.

Take a year off, come back with a clear head, no harm.

Isn't that essentially what you're all doing in crowning the kid as the second coming of Tom Brady?

Why should we waste games in testing him out when he's obviously being evaluated every single practice session. If he's as good as you think he is then he'll end up playing.

Of course his change in coaching and the fact they ran like 20% of their plays where he wasn't even at QB wouldn't change a thing if he played here.

He's not a Super Bowl QB. The Dolphins will not win the Super Bowl, or even get close, so who cares.

We took a shot, it didn't work out, big deal.

When the Dolphins lose and they will and Chad can't perform against an actual good team, then everyone hopefully shut down the Chad talk for 6 months.

True He might be good we don't know but the Big Difference is with Brady and Cassell is Belichek he is great with QB's and getting the most out of them that's why Cassell looks very similar to Brady haven't you noticed that all year. I we had belicheck as our HC I guess we could try it but other then him I don't think this team can start over we need a proven guy that can come in an lead the entire offence from Day 1

When did I ever crown him the next Brady? I'm stating we have no way of knowing at this point whether he's the answer or not, unlike your claim that he's already "not the answer". Quit trying to put words in my mouth simply because you got a foot stuck in yours.

I have not rooted for the Jets all season because of how they treated Pennington. they got what they deserve, and they now deserve another 4 years from Favre. It was quite entertaining watching Brett the egomaniac take a sure 12-4 team to 9-7. The last 5 games are pretty much on Favre. Blaming Mangini is crazy...no team, I repeat NO TEAM can overcome a QB throwing 2 TD and 9 INT in 5 games, no matter how great a defense. I seriously thought I was watching Browning Nagle. ANd the entertainment value and humor of how God-awful most of those INTs were was the best part. A pop warner QB doesnt make those passes. But the Golden Boy Gunslinger sure did !!!!

    Blah...

    It is what it is.

I'm glad BF came to play as a Jet. I still do. Do I think he played good, no, but I think he was an upgrade. I don't care how you spin it, he was an upgrade. Pennington was done here, he didn't do much for us anyway, and I wish him the best else where.

Good for him, blah, blah, whatever.

He is such a boring fucking QB, I don't care where he goes, that will never change. Watching him play makes me want to punch a baby out of frustration. Watching him as a Phin, same thing, only, he has more productivity. Like I said, good for him, blah, blah..

I don't think I want Brett Favre back this upcoming season, only because I think we need to finally get our long term QB in place. If that isn't possible this offseason, then I would atleast like to have him filling up that spot until we can upgrade that postion for the long term.

    It is what it is.

Well put. One slight change though. They actually walk away with our millions :-(. Whether you're local and buy the tickets or far away like me and spend money on the NFL package it's our money (and advertising dollars) that pays for these salaries - both players and management.

Yeah complain all you want, go for it. But if you quit on a team after they spent money and at least tried and 9 and f'n 7, its lame IMO.

There are Lions fans in the world, you can be a Jets fan. Yeah complain but quitting, I don't know. I don't get it.
