Projected Round (2009): 6 I think Graham Harrel is worth a look late, No Texas Tech quarterback has recently made the jump to the NFL successfully, but Graham Harrell has the best chance to do so. He finished with 4,747 yards, 41 touchdowns and seven picks, with a completion percentage of 71.5 and a YPA of 8.4. Rhett Bomar was supposed to be a legit QB but got sidetracked at Oklahoma before transferring. Remember when this guy looked pretty impressive as a red-shirt freshman in Oklahoma? Well, after being dismissed for taking money from boosters and missing the entire 2006 season, Rhett Bomar resurfaced and compiled 2,209 yards and 10 touchdowns in nine starts in 2007. .12/20/08: Led Sam Houston State with 3,355 yards, 27 touchdowns and 13 picks. 10/12/08: Through three games: 62-of-97, 878 yards. Ten touchdowns, three interceptions, 9.1 YPA.

Not loving this QB class. If one of the top two is available, fine take one at 17. I don't trust the rest. Freeman to me is a poor mans Culpepper who is never going to have a Randy Moss.
I quite like the look of Teel and Harrel, although where Harrel is coming from doesn't give me confidence
Freeman has the height and a big arm which suppossdly the Jets are interested in but he would be a huge reach at 17. I doubt he lasts until the second round. BTW, he is very much a Flacco clone from this time last year.
I heard a comparison between Freeman and JaMarcus Russel, not really seen the most of Freeman, is that a accurate comparison Don?
Levi Brown was a reach a number of years ago for the Cardinals Offensive Line Need is Need and We Need a QB We will not be taken seriously until we do so. We could have gotten Cutler, but instead we got D'Brick Not complaining about Brick because we needed him, but when you look at this years class of offensive tackles and the class of QBs, it is harder to find top notch QBs. We could have gotten Cutler then and take care of our OT situation in this draft. Not wishing to change what happened but just pointing out how QBs are important to a franchise
Too bad Bradford didn't declare, we would've had a pretty good shot at Sanchez. If we get a 2nd for Vilma, we should have the ammo to trade up for Stafford or Sanchez, if necessary.
The guys I like most are Sanchez and Freeman. I'm not a huge Stafford fan but he most likely wont be available anyway.

Not first year, of course, but a few years down the line? I've got faith in him, anywho.
I'd grab Teel in the late rounds. I'm comfortable with Clemens and Ratcliff, but Teel could be a good project
I say take Harrell late. The guy showed a lot of poise in the pocket and is accurate as hell. I saw him on the QB challenge last night and he was hitting every target. I don't know how strong his arm is though.
bomar or davis in the 3/4th rounds defense in the first(d.e. ilb s) and a wr in the second.i think bomar will be a nice pro if the situtation is right
I'm not a big NCAA fan or draftnik, but I seem to remember not a lot of people liking the QBs in last year's draft, and plenty of people loving Leinart and Vince Young. The draft and the jump to the NFL is tricky business.
I Dont know why but i got this good feeling about Freeman i think he can be one hell of a QB in this league i would take him in the 2nd but if i feel the heat from a 1st round team for him i would get him at #17. Favre's gone and Penny's our rival. We need a QB and we cant have another era of back and forth to qb's, Get this kid and let him sit a year and give clemens the keys. He didnt do so good with the 07 squad but theres no doubt the o-line and defense is 3x better then the 07 team.

I only prefer three guys in the draft at QB: Stafford, Harrell, and Davis and I can't wait to see what they do at the combine and/or their pro day.
I watched a few ball state games last year, and really Nate Davis struck me as the kind of guy who can get it done. He needs seasoning, but I think in the long run, Davis is a good option. That said overall I hate this QB class, and truly next years class will be better than this one. How much better? I have no clue, but it cant really be as bad as this one is can it?
