A Browns fan told a friend of mine that he heard on a local radio station that the Jets contacted the Browns about B. Edwards. Obviously this is as loose of a rumor as you'll ever get, but IF true, we can discuss the possibilities... I saw earlier that there was a rumor about B. Edwards going to the Giants in exchange for Kiwanuka and I would have to assume something else... So if Mangini is looking for a OLBer, who do we have that he might want? I can't imagine B. Thomas would satisfy... maybe 1st and B. Thomas? Ok yeah I said to myself I wouldn't start any more threads, but this is my last one, promise!
Why not a 1st? We can probably all agree that B. Thomas is.. uhmm.. expendable... but if the Browns ask for 1st + Thomas I would certainly say YES to that. B. Edwards + Cotch is a nice combo and one that would last a long long time.
for starters edwards isnt worth a first anyways, let alone plus a player. I would assume if mangini wants a player back he could have BT and a 4th or just a straight up third. but as you said its bogus and is basically meritless
B. Thomas + 3rd rounder = done. Braylon may have had a bad year last year, but he also had 3 different QB's ( shitty ones at that) throwing him the ball. It happens. I dont know how people can deny that he can definitely take over a game. He can be a special player and is well worth the risk of a 3rd, and what looks like a bench player for us next year.

How is it a stupid question. If B. Edwards cost us our 1st rounder, do you feel that B. Edwards would be better than the best WR the draft has to offer?
Braylon Edward for 1st AND Bryan Thomas? You better stay away from the front office. I wouldn't offer anything higher than 4th for that drop machine, and I am being very generous.
It wasn't just last year. The last two years he dropped passes at a very high rate. I guarantee you at least half the board would be calling for his head if he came here and continued to drop passes at that rate. He's obviously very talented but seems to be lacking in the hands or concentration department, maybe both.
