Sorry KOZ and Hemi but HOI and k0kes have a good point. Could they have posted this in the existing TJ thread? Yes. But I personally agree that having to scroll through 30 posts questioning the thread's worth clutters the board even more than having two similar threads. Just my opinion and no disrespect to anyone. And now so I don't get accused of "posting off topic as well" let me get to my thoughts on the original post which is why I read the post in the first place... I would say definitely "no" to Warrick Dunn, he's ancient for a RB, like 35 years old I think). I wouldn't trust Deuce or Johnson after their injuries I'd maybe take a stab at Deshaun Foster just cause he's the youngest at like 28 or 29, but he's really not that great and I think we'd do better drafting someone maybe round 3 or 4. Also, maybe we could get Jesse Chatman back.
Its a good thread because he put in options for discussion and left open other avenues. Better than average. I'm of the Mike Shanahan school that has demonstrated you can basically plug in any decent running back if your scheme is sufficient. I always liked Duece: I'm looking at his stats and this is pretty amazing: Onver 8 years and 1400+ carries, he's only fumbled 20 times and lost 13. That's over 100 carries per lost fumble. Pretty good. He has something to prove to. In fact, I would cut TJ and grab this guy today.
Also we still got that guy Marcus Mason on our roster right? I wonder what he's capable of doing? I found an old Youtube highlight reel of him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YYyCSlPjq0
Cluttering threads up to complain about poeple complaining makes you a bigger part of the problem. And for the record, none of the guys listed by the OP. Draft a guy in the second.
Complaining about people complaining about people complaining about other people doesn't make you innocent either. We can do this all day, so what's your point? As for the original post, of the choices listed, I'd go with Foster.
And commenting on the clutter that people create by complaining about the complaining of clutter clutters it even more. You are all deplorable. And so am I. And I don't like any of the options the OP suggested either. Danny Ware is going to the Hall Of Fame.
Rhodes is the only one of those choices who can actually play. That said, what the hell else is Thomas Jones going to do? 31-year-old running backs have no trade value and he's not going to just retire. Eventually he'll get some kind of minimal face-saving salary bump and/or performance incentive and he'll show up.
Please your merely deplorable, while I on the other hand am dispicable. We do not need an aging, broken down running back if we lose TJ. Young Wheels are a better option. This is probly the best position to plug and play out of a draft to a starter besides a kicker. That said, Danny Ware to the hall of fame? I think Paul Hackett is more likely to go.
I agree, that would a good, young combo! realistically, if Jones is sent packing it needs to be done before draft day and the hole should be addressed there. A good young back, and more carries for Leon behind their oline and the JETS would be fine!
While I don't like signign an old retread RB there is one otehr problem with this thread. Why no poll? You took the time to give us several options, give us another botton to click!! That is all.
Because the one above his thread was not his thread...Wait, I think Im gonna create a thread of mine as well titled: Thomas Jones and his left nut...
Great Kokes....Now I will have to go through 7 TJ threads to see what people have to say about the situation...Great idea...
and if the asshole train you are on does not agree with me, check this shit out: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=1170158&postcount=1
so if you dont like the thread stay the fuck out of it...this makes the THIRD time you posted on my shitty thread...
