How about the 16-14 loss in Buffalo back in 1993. Kenneth Davis going in for a TD fumbles on the 1 yard line. Ball rolls out of the endzone for a touchback, Jets get it on the 20 right? nah, refs decide to call it a TD. only against the Jets
By far the most devastating call. Gastineau was a complete baboon on that play and deserved the call. So close...yet so far.
How about bobbling catch while Defensive line mans laying on the ground out of bounds 1997, which cost us the playoff's Wayne chrebet catch called incomplete 1997 Bullsh#$ Roughing the passer calls and leading with helmet against the Jacksonville jaguars (can?t remember the year) two diffent plays Typical Jets sh#$!
That's a bit of a myth. I'll dig up one of my old posts tonight to let you know what I mean. EDIT: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=185546&postcount=42
I had forgotten about this one, from Pats-Jets in NE, 2006: http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=14297&highlight=Roughing+Passer=Horrible+Call My post from 2006: <What was that ref thinking calling a personal foul on the Hobson play? It was hard to hear the call because I was in a bar, but it sounded like the official called a blow to the head as the cause, or possibly said that Hobson drove Brady into the ground. Either way, he could not have stopped, didn't hit Brady in the head, and Brady jumped in the air when he threw the ball and that's why he got driven into the ground. That call very easily could have cost us the game since it took away an interception and gave the Patsies a chance to put 3 on the board.>
I thought Coles had both feet inbounds with control of the ball in one of our late 4-12 seasons against the Saints. Herms last season, it was a Monday or Sunday nighter.
That was probably the only game where I switched off the game before the 4th quarter since I became a Jets fan in 2004, to watch the Home Alone movie. Well we face those dickheads again this year, hopefully we kill them.
this thread should be changed to "worst draft blunders/picks in nyj history" ken o brien vernon gholston kyle brady ....the list goes on
The way Todd played that day we could have played 20 quarters and still not scored....thanks to that a-hole Shula and his mud!:finssuck:
That was the correct call though b/c he bobbled it when he hit the ground and you need to have complete control when hitting the ground on a play like that. Similar play went in our favor in 2002 at home on sunday when Chris Chambers apparently caught a TD but it waas overturned on replay.
That jackass knew we were the faster team, it was a calculated move, I will always hate his guts for that game...I've never gotten over that loss:finssuck:
