Does he have any value? He's coming off a great year but he is 30yrs old? Maybe a contender who needs a back??? We traded what equated to a #3 two years ago for him (swapping 2nd round picks). I think with his complaining and his age maybe you unload him and take Moreno or Wells in the 1st or Green, Jennings, or Andre Brown later.
I tried it on Madden and got a first and a rookie back with a 77 rating, I think we could probably get similar value
If we were going to trade him, I'd personally do it for an escalator pick in next year's draft....a 4th that escalates to a 3rd based on how many yards he runs or something along those lines. Next year's draft is likely going to be the deepest in years, and we can draft his replacement at #17 in Moreno or Wells (who I'm not as high on) or trade back/forward into the 30's and get McCoy or Brown. I also wouldn't mind Greene in the 2nd or 3rd.
thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Madden trades are no where close to actual trade value in the nfl.
if we're lucky....and we find some GM out there that loves HBs over 30...we could probably swing a 4th rounder for him. But i wouldn't bet the farm on it.
He's worth more to us than we could ever wish to get for him...provided he actually shows up. Again, the contract we gave him was for $20 million over 4 years. Since we've paid him about $13 million of it already after only 2 years, the Jets are upside down a little over half a season as it stands now. A lot of what is left is bonus money, so we'd pay that also, realizing relatively little in monetary savings. Couple that with the high 3rd we paid for him and our thin backfield, and it's hard to imagine a scenario in which we receive compensation equal to his value to our team. Then again, the Bears could use a backup for Forte...and are finally admitting the error of their ways...so you never know. I'd want a 2nd though, and no one will pay that.
I was too, I was looking more at being called an a-hole or the like, actually getting someone with a Madden reference is quite challenging these days
Haha yeah it's incredible, the same joke is made in any thread like this (which is a lot), and it would get old, but some idiot falls for it every single time. Thus, it's funny...good stuff wolfe
But also, we could probably get a conditional pick that starts at a 5th and moves up to a 4th. So basically, he's worth way more than that to us so we would never trade him.
If he continues to act like a douchebag we should trade him for a 1st. Idk if we would get more then a 2nd but maybe one of those you give me your 1st i'll throw you my 2nd.
4th rounder at most. NFL teams realize a 31 yr old RB looking for a pay raise has zero value.... but here on TGG it's another story.....
You've been a member since 04, but you're still a starter? You should post more often. Then you can get people to ask who that chick is in your avatar. That's when you know you've made it on TGG.
