anyway, the yanks looked good today, if pettite plays half as good as he did today all season, we should be set.

I was never against Pettite coming back I just don't like how he initially turned down 1 yr/$10 million. That was pretty whacko.

Interesting lineup for the Yankees. This should be a good situation for CC to get on track for 09.

Yeah, I was like this is not the lineup Tyler Durden posted. Haha.

Hope Tex is okay though. We can win this without him.

just tuned in. Good lead, posada with a nice double and swisher is playing great right now.
What i'm wondering is why is CC pitching and not Joba?

So when are they going to treat Joba like a regular starting pitcher and not some little child riding his bike on training wheels?

Swisher is mashing the ball right now. Alot of hot bats at the top of the order. Matsui is fuckin' it all up though and needs to be dropped in the lineup.

Wait, why isn't Joba starting? Did Joe give a reason for this?

P.S Ransom is painful to watch hit.

Maybe when he's able to throw 200 innings in a season. He needs two more seasons (including this one) before he's there.

In any case, I think this was more about keeping CC on regular rest than about skipping Joba's spot.

I'm going to be totally obnoxious and quote myself from before the season started  :

I know it's early... but he's been killing the ball. Last year is looking more and more like an unlikely fluke. It's hard to have an LD% over 20% and hit under .220. He managed to do it last year, though... somehow.

Cappy, what's LD%? I agree that I like Swisher a lot, but I have no problem keeping Nady unless he wants to start elsewhere. Someone will get hurt, and it wouldn't hurt to have a decent hitter off the bench.

Has he been a reliever his entire life or is there some other reason for that?
