Hey NDmick, did you have a change of heart cause I was under the impression (I could be wrong) that you felt we have been making a big mistake in focusing too much on our defense at the cost of neglecting our offense. Sorry if I got this all wrong, just the impression I was under. Also, if you changed your mind I'm not faulting you for it, you just happen to be one of the posters that I always read so I am curious. You also might have been sarcastic in your post in which case I will be looking like a complete dumbass.
haha, no you're right on me wanting to have balance on all sides of the ball, and when it comes to leadership on a team I am adamant about the QB being the unquestioned leader. That stability has proved time and time again to be the successful and 80% of SBs have been won by a team with a great leader at the helm rather than the defense with 3 or more HOFers on it. I was being sarcastic. I really feel that most fear the risk of finding that great signal caller, but I feel that chance has to be taken.
oh ok, I'm not the best at picking up sarcasm. I thought you made a complete 180 degree turn for a second. I agree totally about the balance aspect. I'm pretty much a defense first guy but I'm even at the point where I hope we draft offense the first 2 rounds.
Yeah wtf is up with going to the shit hole again in oakland ? Give us a fuckin break. Atleast the titans are comin to NY and we aint going back down there.
Great point. What the Hell does he think he's proven? That he can put up good numbers when he has an o-line that actually blocks? Congratulations, Thomas, you have set yourself apart from absolutely none of the other halfbacks in the league who deserve a starting job. If he managed to score more than one touchdown two years ago, I might be willing to sympathize but as of right now he doesn't have a leg to stand on...although saying that would give him something in common with this franchise's leading rusher at the end of his career...
Not for nothing, but everybody seems to be upset about going to Oakland. Not that I'd defend them, cause I fucking hate Oakland, but they do have to travel to the east coast 3 times next season, including once to the Meadowlands against the Giants. Aside from Oakland, the farthest west we go is Houston. I'm just saying...
What I am excited about is this is now about the team. With Mangini, it was all about him and his unearned ego. Rex is bringing much needed feeling of excitement back to the Jets. Do I want to stomp the Patsies? Yes, but I could care less who shakes hands. Thomas Jones might as well show up for work as he is not getting a new contract and won't be a Jet next year. The real stand up guy is Washington who also wants a new contract and has been showing up every day - for the team.
Then by god we need to fix that don't we? Plus, it's more fun to pick on Jeaux when the Jets beat Oakland IN Oakland.
