well to be honest being a pitcher is terrible for your arm if you're 18 or 28 it's an unnatural movement, and breaking pitches put on more stress, but if you don't throw breaking pitches in high school you aren't getting much of a bonus so you end up going to college and delaying your career, but if like this kid you show control on breaking pitches you are more likely to get the bigger bonus, which starts your career earlier and gets you through arbitration and either extensions or FA faster, so you make more money before you in all likelihood have an injury, most big league pitchers eventually get injured, so if you have stopped growing and use good strengthening and flexibility exercises, your risk shouldn't be much higher, and the reward in terms of future earnings can be much higher
A simple request: when Giambi comes to the plate tonight, could all you folks out in right field let loose big hot-dog farts and keep the ball in the park???
Offense is looking real good tongith, all we need is A-Rod back so we can get that black home Ransom out of here.
Why does Girardi move Cano up and Swisher down? Cano is lighting it up in the 6/7 spot while Swisher has had a good start... Now Cano is 0-2 tonight in the 5 spot...
I don't mind it, I like the idea of Cano being in our 5th spot even when A-Rod gets back. Cano is that type of hitter. He did hit the ball pretty good his last at bat, s
