Huh? Favre wasn't motivated to play well last year? Get real.....

Clearly you didn't catch Favre's pre-game 'pep' talk. And you know you can have more than one quote in a post, right?

My favorite part of what I saw today was Nick Barnett's comments.... maybe the best quote ever made by a player about Favre....

He was asked about hitting Favre in the regular season, his comment was priceless.....

I can't wait to hit him...I couldn't do it when we practiced... he was always running around in that little red shirt... I can't wait to hit him and you can put that on your bulletin board.

you'll see a difference this year.

If you paid attention to his initial mannerisms after the trade last Aug....you'd understand the point I was trying to make.

Yeah his comments last summer could basically have been translated to "Yeah, uh, it's great to be a New York Gia-Jet... do we play the Packers this year?"

I don't go along with that entirely...yeah he really wanted to be a Viking (for total duechebaggery reasons) but I don't doubt for one minute that he didn't want to play football. I think once he ran out onto that field it didn't matter what logo was on the helmet... I just think he isn't that good anymore. He wore down and the shoulder injury contributed. My bet is the Vikings will be strong early but once December hits they will fade the same way the Jets did last season.

But the players themselves said Favre was distant from the team, acted bigger than the team and seemed like he didn't even want to be there.... I dunno, it seemed to me like he was regretting ever coming to the NYJ from the beginning.

I expect him to exert full effort for Minnesota, because that's where he wants to be. I also think he will play even worse than last year. It will be funny to watch.

Had the radio on while I was driving, Favre talking about sitting on his porch with his daughter, and she was crying, and said she wanted him to win one more Super Bowl. This is semi-rural Georgia. There were no lightposts in the immediate area. I still considered driving until I found one, then crashing into it for emphasis. Biggest phony in the world, that Favre.

His number retirement ceremony is going to be awwwwkward.

Yes because he is going to force even more throws and that means more INT's.... now I may be wrong on this but motivation works both ways. The Packers are certainly going to want to stick it to him as well. Just read what Nick Barnett had to say..... I am going to put the house on the Pack in Lambeau vs the Vikes.... the other thing is hasn't Burt always played awful in the Homerdome?

The one before the Dolphins game, wasn't it something along the likes of "if we win we win if we lose we lose....I love you guys"?

So I pulled Burt's numbers from his games played at the Homerdome and quite honestly as he got older the numbers got better but he really struggled early in his career. The numbers may mean shit but then again there may be something about that place that doesn't work for him...

He lost his 1st 5 starts in Minn throwing 2 TD passes and 8 INT's
His career record in Minn is 6 and 10 winning 4 of the last 5... in those last 5 games he has thrown 12 TD's vs just 2 INT's
If you take out the 5 consecutive loses to start a career he is 6-5 and in those games he threw 22 TDs and 9 INT's
For his career he has thrown 22 TD's and 19 INTs

I feel bad for the backups that have been busting there ass all camp, and Favre comes in and will be playing 3 days after. What a joke.

Shouldn't you be wearing your purple nightie w/ the #4 on it right now imagining Favre's scruff all over your body?

That quote was part of a longer sentence but SUJet can't intelligently debate so he has to try other things to try to make himself look better.
