Sanchez's stats are great, putting that aside, he has the "IT Factor". All great QBs have a demeanor of calm and confidence. You just know when you see Sanchez in the pocket......calm, confident and in command. Look at Clemens....he looks unsure, not confident.

The Jets look to have a Bright future at QB!!!

He's still staring down receivers and he's going to get a few routes jumped if he keeps that up, but other than that....holy crap, Sanchez is an NFL QB already.

You said that well. We are all expecting Sanchez to take his bumps but he rarely shows signs of it

He's gonna take some lumps, for sure. No more than KC would have taken, even after being a bench vet. I really wanna be stoked about Sanchez, but I'm trying to hold it back until I see him progress through the year. But holy hell, he's just progressing so fast, and he already had awesome mechanics, it's hard to not be excited.

I think as the game slows down for him, his staring habit goes away.

He comes from a nice family and they would be horribly offended if they heard that. You New Yorkers are just renting him he will be a Trojan forever. Shame on you for using the term "dirty" in his name............ lol'z

Personally I was never a big fan of this whole Mark Sanchez deal from the start. I really thought Clemens would beat this kid hands down and Sanchez would not catch up to the pro game in his first year..

Well I am here to tell you I was wrong, this kid is a player. An as much as I thought Clemens deserved a chance to lead the Jets, I must be honest and say Sanchez has looked head and shoulders above Kellen so far. I do take in to consideration though that Clemens has not played much of the Pre-season behind the first team O-line

I have also been very impressed by Angie, this kid has an arm and could be a very good long term answer as a number two if Kellen is moved to give him a fresh start.

He'll have his ups and downs this year, but he looks like he is the real deal.

After watching the team tonight, Rex Ryan definitely has a ton of tough choices to get this down to 53.

Not a bad start for Rex. We got a QB for the future and it is looking pretty good
    Mr. Electric called this.
I'll give him credit for this one.

Like they said during the DRAFT his QB intangables are amazing. Great pump fake, PA , Great footwork and he throws a tight spiral and is very accurate. This kid is a good leader and will relish as time goes on. Happy we drafted him but the season is where legends are born. I have faith.

It's probably been mentioned somewhere on these forums, but Phil Simms said that Sanchez might have the best footwork in the NFL right now.

He's shown nothing but composure and leadership and he clearly has the respect of his teammates. I expect the typical rookie mistakes over the course of the season, but damn, the future's lookin' bright!

Clowney and Cotchery out wide stuckey in the slot with Keller and Leon there. We will have sufficient weapons to break in a guy with as good intangibles as sanchez. Damn I'm excited for this kids future.

Playing at USC in a pro offense against great competition helped him a lot. His 16 starts relate to about 40 for any QB that played in the spread.

Last night, Sanchez did what he had to do; show that the second teamers are no competition for him. The kid is growing.
