The second part. I'm not sticking up for him, I'm suggesting that someone needed to slap her. I'd prefer if it were another woman. The only person I feel sorry for in all of this is my sister. They had an event with Merriman at her gym two weeks ago for children. It was supposed to drum up extra business. Instead, she had to go in today and disgustedly remove everything with his face on it. It does say something that the brother in law knows Merriman and never thought too highly of him...and he gets along with everyone. Even still talks to Rodney Harrison. Merriman's got to be evil, although I had simply heard he was a douche.
Apparently his version is that she was drunk and wanted to go out for a drive, so he stopped her. Says there are witnesses to back him up. Guess we'll see...

Shawne Merriman released a statement Sunday night defending his actions against Tila Tequila early Saturday morning, saying he was trying to help her, not hurt her. Merriman said he was only trying to defend Tequila from driving intoxicating and "in no way caused any harm" to her. Paramedics examining her found no injuries, and there have been no charges filed against Merriman.
As much as I would have loved to see Tila Tequila in a drunken car crash, there's the chance that she would have hurt somebody else. So Merriman did the best thing he could.
Choking Tila Tequila is as much a crime as robbing a bank with no money in it. She doesn't have any oxygen going to her brain anyway.
Innocent until proven guilty. I hate using the blame the victim defense, but doesn't Tila Tequila (by the mere fact that she calls herself "Tila Tequila") seem like the kind of person who would get belligerently drunk and make some false accusations?
