Honestly, can they get anything right??? Just simply a horrible call there. It was easily a TD. They have the benefit of looking at every possible angle for as long as they want and they still get it worng. As much as I dislike the Raiders and Al Davis, they got absolutely hosed there.
Gotta agree here, maybe the league is repaying the chargers for the denver game last year. Horrible call, totally a touchdown.
It was a terrible call, no? It just continues on and on in this league. Who gives a shit about what team it hurts or benefits (especially in a game we're not playing). These fucking guys have to get these calls right. Especially when they take 6 god damn minutes to look at it.
So integrity means nothing here. What if that crap just happened to Dustin Keller or Chansi Stuckey?? It would hurt a lot, wouldn't it?? You'd want to put your fist through the wall, no? Something's got to give with these horrible calls.
This kind of stuff won't happen to the Keller or Stuckey. Wanna know why? Cause we're not the Raiders.
Regardless of what team gets fucked over, no team should get fucked over. I hate how that douchebag Mike Pierrera always defends everything the refs call and never admits a mistake on their part.
See, this I can agree with. Pierrera is such a son of a bitch and will defend his refs to the bitter end. I wonder how he'll defend this one when they dissect this play on NFLN.
He'll be all like "It was the refeerres understanding, at the time, that the ball came loose, during the play, while his knee's were in motion, indicating that, for now, the ball was not caught, completely, without doubt, for a touchdown." Oh okay, thanks Mike.
That was my point in starting the thread here. There maybe should be some kind of independent watchdog on this kind of bullshit. Rmagedon: you did make me laugh though, and I've had a long day, so thanks:grin:
If your watching the game, Steve Young called it. Ball under control, two feet in the end zone. Play over, TD. What's so hard about calling the play the way the officials saw it originally??
they said he has to control it as he falls to the ground. but wait he had already caught the fucking thing. therefore it would be a fumble... but it cant be a fumble cause the ground cant cause a fumble. so basically you can catch the ball run 99 yards and then fall down and have it slip away from you in the endzone and it will be an incomplete pass. that guy caught the fucking ball. END OF STORY, these we need to get every call right if it takes 5 hours dipshits still cant get it fucking right. i think its goodell telling them to bash the raiders cause he thinks al davis wants to take some of his power.
