They also have Calvin for receiving help...Anyways, its a close call but I tend to rate 3TDs higher than 1. The streak or the 3-0 record should not be considered. Its rookie of the week award, not rookie of the year.

It doesn't matter. The more these people say they're gonna for Stafford, the more the thread gets bumped, the more cancel their vote.

Just voted about 12 times, but I would like to verify that they allow multiple votes before I waste the rest of my work day voting. Can anyone confirm this?

so the kid runs in 1 TD, throws for another 2, and become the 1st rookie to go 3-0 and he doesn't deserve it?

wow, no one is thinking today.

Sanchez had a better performance than Stafford but the whole Lions getting their first win thing is going to win over a lot of votes.

Then I guess we got our work cut out for us. Keep voting. I don't know if they allow multiple votes, but I've been doing it and Sanchez has been winning. If it ain't broke (or in this case, if it is), don't try to fix it.

Yes, I must say Jets n' Boys, that Av is very close in quality to the Rainbow girl.

Jesus Tap-dancing Christ it's a matter of opinion, you silly homers haha. A case can be made for either QB.

Sanchez did something unprecedented and put the ball in the endzone three times. He also turned it over twice and was completely shut down in the 2nd Quarter. Nevertheless, he bounced back and led his team to victory against a tough (and winless) opponent.

Stafford finished with more yardage (on 6 more attempts) against an opponent not as tough, but at the same time, plays for a team not nearly as good as the Jets. While he may not have done anything unprecedented, he led his team to a W that snapped a 19 game losing streak. 19 games! That's a big fuckin monkey.

For the record, I voted Dirty.

Theres no way that Stafford deserves R.O.W. over Mark Sanchez. Correct me if im wrong but wasnt stafford taken over Sanchez in the draft? Didnt Stafford have more than 16 starts in his college Carrer? Mark Sanchez was availbe to detriot but they passed on him for Stafford...Because they thought Stafford was better...Not the case so far. Sanchez had a good game against a tough tennessee defense so Sanchez gets my vote!

If he wins again this week, can we rename it the "Mark Sanchez Rookie of the Week Award?"

People are voting Stafford because of the story, not the actual games. Either way, I wouldn't put too much stock in the ROW award. As of now, it's hands down Mark's award for the season. If he keeps his play up, he'll get the only rookie award that matters.

I don't even think this award plays into the OROY award at all, actually. This is a Pepsi-sponsored NFL award. The OROY award is voted on by the AP.

    bingo.

although the mention he gets on NFLN for each rookie of the week award brings more focus on to what hes really doing to make a case for the one that matters. OROY

further more, dare I say ROY? i cant think of anyone whos been a bigger impact thus far. and him being a QB will go a long way as long as he doesnt have an unexpected meltdown.

either way like I said I voted for Sanchez, its good to see Stafford get a W but the redskins are a team thats grumbling about firing their HC 3 weeks into the season. they also couldnt put shit up against the Rams and well, they lost to the Lions.

nuff said in my book a case could be made for either one but I think leading your team to 3-0 (defense aside, hes been clutch when it counts) especially against a TEN team that could very well be 3-0 right now.

Yeah, there's no way the OROY can be based on accumulation of weekly awards in which one person alone can vote 50x.

What in the world does college production and draft selection have to do with an individual's NFL Week 3 performance?

It's not. That's why I mentioned the weekly award was irrelevant. Sanchez is way out in front for OROY.

    Yeah, completely agree.

I have to admit, I've been impressed by Harvin; but like you said, Sanchez is the clear front-runner right now.
