http://sports.espn.go.com/boston/nfl/news/story?id=4532045 The New England Patriots continue to stockpile momentum, wins and all stars. This week, the Patriots are expected to sign 12-time Pro-Bowl linebacker Junior Seau, according to an NFL source. Seau visited the Patriots last week and the two sides laid the groundwork for a deal to be completed this week that will allow the former Pro Bowl linebacker to play his 20th NFL season. Now, after losing veterans such as Tedy Bruschi, Mike Vrabel, Rodney Harrison and Richard Seymour, the Patriots are turning back to one of their leaders. AFC East blog Graham ESPN.com's Tim Graham writes about all things AFC East in his division blog. ? Blog network: NFL Nation "There is nobody like Junior. His attitude is everything, what he brings in terms of his enthusiasm, his style, his commitment," Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said Monday in his weekly appearance on Boston radio station WEEI. "It's a great presence for everybody -- for all the players, all the coaches. There is nobody that approaches the game like he does. He's a huge asset to our team. He's an incredible player and leader. I think everybody's excited to have him." Patriots coach Bill Belichick was coy Monday when asked about Seau's possible return to the Patriots. New England's coach said he noticed the 12-time Pro Bowl player was "doing some bull riding, bull stomping, or some bulls were stomping him." Seau was hit by a bull on his television show "Sports Jobs" on the Versus network. Asked if he thought the 40-year-old Seau could still contribute, Belichick joked he'd have to see how Seau looked with the bull. Last year, Seau returned to the Patriots in December. Barring some unexpected development, the 40-year-old Seau will return to New England even sooner this season. Seau has accounted for 1,515 tackles, 17 fumble recoveries, 18 interceptions, and 56? sacks in his career.
He is 40 yrs old.... In football years, that is like 100 yrs old. I think that answers your question.
the good news is i just traded for brady in my fantasy league. last time that happened he was out for the year. i wouldn't complain if that were to be the case this year.
As a Pats fan I'm worried that he will be anywhere close to the field in meaningful situations... decent depth move I guess.
Just bumping this one so the karma gods can take it out on Sanchez instead. If he keeps diving at defenders' knees after he throws INTs he's gonna take himself out anyway.
I really wish this asshole would've retired already. They're in desperate need for a signal caller on defense. Which means they'll have an ol' ass man on the field for a few downs (hopefully 3rd downs). Making the Patriots D slower on the field.
Nice depth move for the Pats. They're solid in the 4-3 with Mayo and Guyton (who's done a great job as the signal caller. When Mayo comes back, Seau can give him a blow once in awhile and I think Guyton may get some OLB duty to take advantage of his speed.
There are some players in sports who are cursed and will never win a championship... Seau is at the top of the list
