If the Twins get a quick 1-2-3 expect them to come and grab ahold of the lead the next half inning.

If Detroit hangs on here's who NY will be facing at home:
    Jackson Gm 1 DET/MIN @ NYY Wed Oct. 7 6:07 p.m. TBS
    Verlander Gm 2 DET/MIN @ NYY Fri Oct. 9 6:07 p.m. TBS

Both on 5 days rest. I like the matchup in game 1. Have we decided our SP for game 2 yet?

Yup, you're right. Jackson verse CC is a great game 1 match-up. And if Burnett doesn't walk more than 2-3 batters, and strikes out around 7, I think we have a really good chance of getting to and beating Verlander and going up 2-0.

Even though Verlander pitched a gem against the Yanks earlier in the year, I can see a few lefties getting over the fence against him.

Thanks. I agree with you, that matches up well for NY given the circumstances. Love having Andy on the mound for a pivotal game 3. I still would rather play the Twins though.

Gets a sharply-hit single. He's better than you think.

I know he is not needed for the Yanks, but if there were a guy other than the obvious players for the yanks to pick up, I would love for us to have Curtis Granderson. Huge fan

Last guy I said that about was Tex.... thank YOU Cashmen

I've already posted his splits, I'm just going to let the numbers speak for themselves.

God damn Cabrera... Screwed the Yanks while he was with the Sox and Angels, now he's trying to make it happen with the Twins too

he had a particularly bad year against lefties, but that's not the player he is.

    Career vs lefties:
    .209/.269/.344

Yea I realize he's great against righties, and plays a good outfield; but really the numbers speak for themselves. I guess this year is an abberation, but he's historically struggled against left handed pitching.

Minnesota does what all teams SHOULD do and brings Nathan into a tie game with one out in the 8th inning and two men on.

Proper bullpen usage pays off, Nathan works out of the jam.
