I actually agree with Sec314... take care of business now so that the team can walk into the playoffs later in the season rather than have to cling for that last breath of air.
Wildcat? Not scared. Chad Henne? Not scared. Ronnie Brown? Not scared. Mark Sanchez? . . . . A little bit scared.
idk why people are saying we are getting ahead of ourselves. of course a win doesnt rap up the division but down the line these division wins could be the deciding factor in a playoff berth. and not only is it division it is also conference. which makes the pats lose to denver that much sweeter because is was an AFC game. tonight will prove if rex ryan has finally gotten rid of the SOJ stigma. the SOJ will loss this game tonight even if they have every chance to win it. but these new jets that i believe we are will not only win but win convincingly. please Rex prove to us all that this is really a new era and the stigma is gone.
When Cleveland beats the Bills 6-3 that pretty much sums up exactly where the Bills are. The huge difference maker in our gamre tonight is our Defense. I expect a huge game out fo them. I think the fins will have extreme difficulty putting points on the board against us. I'm thinking they score 13 points an that's it. I think the Jets are going to put 24 on the board, 7 out of which will be a ST or defnsive TD.
What you fail to comprehend is the fact that if I would not have clarified the reference, one of your dumb jet fans would have still gotten on me for misspelling "oblivion". Want a cookie?
It wouldn't be the NFL without the Jets owning Miami in their own stadium. Hell, we did it when we went 4-12.
The Dolphins suck. You beat the Bills and start pounding your chests like you're the greatest team in the league. It's truly amazing. Come back here tomorrow after you lose.
I'm beating my chest because I KNOW my team underachieved in the first 3 games of the season and the exact opposite goes for yours. However, I WILL come back here tomorrow win or lose.
For me, it's going to take a lot more than any one game to get rid of the stigma, feel the New Era and drive that much-needed silver stake into the heart of the SOJs. But every game that comes along this season seems to get me just a little closer to the exorcism. Every game has me saying, "Could this be the year we kill off SOJ?" For us old timers, it's a very difficult process. We're talking decades, not years. Decades of repeated failure and letdown, of getting hopes up only to have them dashed again and again. The last time I think I started to feel this way was when Parcells took over and began to make me think that maybe, maybe it was possible... maybe this could be the end of the SOJ. It was a good run with him, but ended short of the VLT yet one more time, so then it became the SOJ again and we were back to square one. There's probably only one thing now, in my lifetime anyway, that will truly, beyond a shadow of a doubt, eliminate the SOJ for me, and that's a Superbowl win. It's possible. It really is. And maybe this year, too. But it has to happen first for me. SOJ is one stubborn son of a bitch to get rid of and just wishing for it won't help. Getting into the playoffs won't help either. The silver stake is the VLT, everything else is just more waiting.
I'll believe that when I see it. I can't remember a more one dimensional offense in the NFL. Jets WILL take away your over rated run game and force Henne to win it. Good luck with that.
See this is where you start to get ahead of yourself. This is one game and we haven't even played it yet, much less won the game, much less won other division games. Its 1 game. We need to win the game, but its not some magical key to the playoffs whether we win or not. The pats lost to denver. That has nothing to do with the Jets playing miami. Whether the pats won or lost, the Jets would still have to beat miami. That is the only focus. Beat miami. Worrying about possible playoff implications 7 weeks from now is a textbook example of Getting Ahead of Yourself. Tonight will prove whether the Jets are better than the fins. That is all it will prove. If you want to construct all sorts of silly psychobabble around a football game then go for it. But the BL is that this is just a football game between two old rivals. I am psyched for the game. But do not believe for one flipping minute that this game is some sort of referendum on Rex Ryan. The Jets are playing well and they need to improve. Hopefully they come ready to play tonight in Miami. This game is not a referendum on Rex Ryan.
How exactly have the Jets overachieved? Good players, good coaches, and the Defense is a Top 5 unit. There's no illusion; it is what it is. Sounds like yer in denial.
They have offically lost their minds over at finheaven. They are beyond talking to...they are by far the most "stat happy" people on the planet. But the seem to overlook the big stat...1-3
