Jeter now has a hit in all six playoff games and a homer in three of them. A-Rod will have the same if he gets a hit today but doesn't homer.

    Leadoff single for Figgins.

    Beautiful turn by Jeter-Cano-Tex

The difference between Teixeira and Giambi at first really is palpable.

Cano's ball was hit so slowly that on the return throw to first, he was actually out of the picture.

So Pettitte is at 15 pitches while Weaver is at 40.

    Each has allowed two hits.

Seems like even early on here that we are playing the "can't score with men on" game.

Pettitte is averaging one pickoff attempt for every two pitches, approximately.

    a-rod goes deep again

now he's hit in all 6 playoff games and has homers in 4 of them.

69 homers against the Angels, and no one is close to him.

Why do you even pitch to A-rod anymore?

    yeah, I'd pitch around him.

The first pitch to A-Rod was actually on the corner according to K-Zone.

I'm waiting for junc to create a thread about how clutch A-Rod is.

Jered and Jeff is one pair, of course. (question was how many pairs of brothers have played for the Angels)

Benjie and Jose Molina played together at one point with the Angels, I think.

You know, if the Yankees do run the table, Kate Hudson's name needs to be added to the WS Trophy. I don't know what she does, but the rumors must be true! She certainly helped to put the pop back in A-Rod's bat! :)
