Before Brett Favre started costing us games last year this was a team that was on the brink of a long playoff run.

Did the defense have issues??? Yes, but you must also remember that we did not have Bart Scott, Lito Sheppard, and a healthy David Harris for most of the year.

How would this unit have done under Eric??? I have no idea....

I just like how everybody hates Eric... He doesn't let the fans or media dictate the way he's going to do business...

"Some players complained privately about the length of training camp practices and more hitting than some of them had experienced since high school. Mangini also has subjected players to pop quizzes during meetings, his way of making sure they are learning their playbook and about each other. He forced his rookies to take a 10-hour bus trip this summer to his football camp, and made his team practice outdoors in the rain".

in your title it says mangini would have taken us to the superbowl, but in the text you say you have no idea how this unit would have done under him.

Do you realize that your post has absolutely nothing to do with your thread title? You don't even address the point the title says you are going to make.

I'm not sure what's more stupid: the post, or the poster.

The original poster is proof positive of the notion that folks must pass a football knowledge and IQ test before being allowed to post anything on this board.

We should have a room for the new folk, call it the "rubber room" or something along those lines.

On a hunch I took a look some of your previous posts...I could only get through 6 before I felt the urge to punch my monitor. Some of the "greats" were....paraphrasing

after jenkins goes down for the year..."time to rebuild"

when comparing the Jets and Browns...."the Browns are in better shape...they have more draft picks"

"Our defense had issues"... Thats the understatement of the fucking decade

You make me want to kick a puppy...I hope your happy with yourself.

Dude, you joined in September '09, and your user name is VG56? I'm pretty new around here, but you've got to be better than that. You give newbs a bad name.

what are you basing this on? Mangini's amazing play-calling, the fact the Browns are such a force this year, or his gum-chewing dominance?

I don't like the way he talks. Whenever he talks with that silly lisp he seems like a grown up baby to me.
