If I were the head coach and had the chance to get your revenge after being embarrassed on MNF and see it fall apart I would be saying worse shit than Rex.. Just look at this game without the two Ginn returns. 25-16 right there, but it would have been 27-16, because we would of never went for the 2pt convers. Now yeah give the Shonn Greene fumble.. the Phins did their work on a rookie right there and made him look like a true rookie. Now that is part of why he is so god damn pissed off, but look another thing to get him pissed Hartsock 1. Dumb ass penalties by Hartsock (One to contribute the loss to Buffalo also) 2. He also got the 2pt conversion by Keller taken away. With that 2pt conversion we could of kicked an extra point on the next drive which would of had us at 30phins 28 jets at the final drive and we could of been able to kick a field goal making this mistake of a game 31-30 Jets win. Eh I was going to type a whole bunch of crap, but the bottom line is I really could care less now if we talk, and lose. Most teams in our division mainly Pats, phins(plays and fans) wont show respect anyway so who gives a god damn if we do.. We knew what we were getting. Rex said he isn't coming here to kiss the Billicheats rings, and everybody seemed fine with him saying that, but now they are all upset since we lost some games..... (eh this thread didnt come out how i wanted it but i have no time right now to edit it.)
and 0-3 in the division and he's fat and he has no class and it's blatantly obvious that the rex ryan experiment will be short lived and end in disappointment, thus wasting 2 years on him making us mediocre which we already were.
We're 4 and 4 with a rookie QB and had a realistic shot at winning every game but the NO's game. Rex has some things to learn too but he's also a rookie HC. I like the way our defense is playing, even without our best d-lineman. We're #1 in rushing and #2 in defense. We just need to learn how to win the close games and we'll be in good shape. That said, this almost certainly isn't our year.
Honestly Rex is a success and big hit in my eyes. Rookie Coach, and QB All the players love him and want to win for him.. Yeah they haven't Yeah Rookie mistakes for coach and QB. But I see true brilliance in the future.
Because he's very, very fat Because he can't shut up Because he thinks his team is 10 times better than what it really is Because he's obese Because he talks and talks and talks about a mediocre team that he thinks is great Oh, because he's one fat baaaaastad
for the first time in a long time i finally feel like we are on the right track. give this regime more than 8 games to make your opinion. in the off-season everyone was expecting to be 7-9...8-8...9-7 at best, and we are on pace to achieve that.
I aint mad acha Rex- I think he's a great coach and that's about it. Sure he's made some rookie mistakes but do you think Mangini would be leading us to the #2 defense in the league. We have a great bunch of guys, and a lot of youth on offense. Rex has us headed in the right direction and I'm still hopeful..
Thank you before we even started most of us agreed to be well under 500 Also if anything needs to change it is Schotty.
In case U do not realize it all U R saying it is a new year & new players & new H/coach but it is the SOJs. BTW as HC sexy Rexy could have easily voided Hartsock being on the field if he was alert & on top of the situation right?
I'm only down on Rex for a couple of things right now. Hartsock, though? He has had a few mental mistakes, but I think his blocking more than makes up for those few mistakes. He's only been on the team since the beginning of September, I'm surprised he hasn't made more at this point. He makes excellent blocks at the point of attack and he does a pretty god job of holding those blocks. If we hadn't picked this guy up, our running game would not be nearly as close to effective. Rex - Part of me likes that Rex will just go out there and shoot from the hip and show how he's feeling after losing a game his team could have won. Another part of me wishes he'd rein those emotions in a bit because I think coaches can lose their lockerroom a bit with that stuff if they aren't careful. The other problem I have with Rex is that it seems like he may end up giving away too much in his pressers. The week before the first Miami game, Rex and Pettine were both asked in press conferences about Miami's Wildcat usage, and Rex stated outright that the main benefit of the way Miami used it was that you had to prepare for it at all. He wrote it up to inconvenience, that they had to set aside time to prepare his defense to defend that formation. He also said that Maimi only averaged about 7-8 wildcat sets per game. Pettine's presser was pretty much the exact same thing in more detail. The result? Miami runs close to 20 wildcat plays, has big personnel shifts prepared, and gets key gains on the ground to continue getting scoring opportunities. We didn't need for Rex to tell the world that he hadn't prepared the team for the WC in his postgame interview, he and his DC already told us that the week before. I don't ever want to ever go back to Mangini's pressers, but there has to be some sort of public coaching of Rex to keep from giving away that kind of thought process. That's right, I said process.
champ, in all honesty he is a rookie HC and we have a rookie QB. They both need time to develop, and 8 games is not enough to judge either. When was the last time a team with a first time HC and a rookie QB won a SB? The fact is this organization hasn't had direction in a long time, it hasn't had a long term view. If we are going to become perennial contenders like Indy, Pitt, NE, it is not going to happen overnight. It is going to take patience which our fanbase lacks, which is understandable to a certain extent due to this teams history. To call this team the SOJs is very premature. Next year if Sanchez or Ryan don't improve I will agree with you. But as long as I see improvement from week to week this year, I am satisfied FOR NOW. As long as we keep signing and drafting the quality of players we have the past 4 years, I think this team is on the right track. I am sick of the quick fixes management has attempted in the past. I want longterm, sustainable success. That takes patience, this is a process, it doesn't happen overnight. Some fans might consider that too much to ask considering the teams history, but it is what is necessary IMO. For people to be calling out the coach and calling for player's heads so early in the process seems a little absurd to me. Not making excuses, but I have no interest in continuing to go through coaches and just being one hit wonders every few years.
We had a realistic shot at winning the NO game. Sanchez threw a pick 6 inside NO's 5 yard line. That's potentially a 14 point swing right there. It's rookie growing pains, but we've been in every game this year...
