anyway, a TD would've made it 34-10, which is still a three possession game.

If there was 15 minutes+ left, it'd be worth considering.

Sorry, I disagree, no one's dead until they're dead. 1 KO run back for a TD, a 3-and-out, a quick strike, then an on-side kick with enough time for 2 or 3 plays towards the endzone is a realistic possibility.

Academic now, as the game pretty much is over now

We just saw the same type of stupidity on Thanksgiving, when the Lions left Stafford in to get knocked out when the game was well out of hand.

Tonight, we get to see both teams doing it, and with QBs that are a combined ~78.6 years of age.

Vikings seem content to let this one go, try to get one more score.

Well, you'd be alone in thinking that.

I'm pretty sure there hasn't been a team in the last ten years that's come back from down 20 with under four minutes left.

All the big Colts comebacks? Miami/Jets MNF? Far more time was on the clock.

Yea I don't get it. Looks like AZ is playing three deep here, not much chance for a comeback.

^ the three deep/prevent is the other reason why the game is over. Going down the field once for a TD in under a minute is extremely unlikely due to the prevent-type defense, let alone doing it three times (combined with onside kicks).

Minnesota gets their score and it's 30-17.

That was a big accomplishment for them, and it took nearly three minutes to score.

What a strange "onside" kick - why not either kick it away if you've given up or kick a real onside kick? Was that really an attempt at an onside kick?

So I would say at this point Warner is setting himself up for a strong Hall Of Fame bid.

    and 30-17 is the final.

After last season, the consensus has been that he's in.

    I would have to agree.

I think the debate was before he took Arizona to the Super Bowl. At that point, strong arguments could be made both ways.

You got me on that, but note that they're the only team in the history of the NFL to pull something like that off. Also, the Vikings were deep in their own territory.

In those kind of situations, it's usually considered academic.

That's why it was particularly strange to see Warner and Favre left in there.

And you got me on the 3-score/4-score thing. Penalties offset, replay down. Here's to GB pasting Baltimore tomorrow
