Just got this about the tailgate party - --- Hey Jets Fans, Got a few things to tell you about so please check it out. First, sales for Tailgate Tickets are over. We hit 300 people! WOW! Walk-ups will still be allowed but you'll need to get there early and you'll need to bring $35/head cash. Also, I've spoken to Jets Owner Woody Johnson's executive assistant and, while it's not 100%, he does expect that Woody will come over to the tailgate to say hello. Not sure what time that will happen but the odds are in our favor that it WILL happen. VERY COOL! Saturday's Happy Hour looks like it's going to be a BLAST. During the game, we want to get the crowd pumped up and give the Jets a home-away-from-home field advantage here in Tampa. We've also got a plan for doing the Jets Chant at the game just like we do when we watch the game at Peabody's. The plan is to do a J-E-T-S chant before the opening kickoff, at each Jets Kickoff and one after every score, including extra points (like we do at our home bar Peabody's). So, rather than Fireman Ed, please look for our very own Tony "Maverick" Medina in the front row of section 135. He'll be hard to miss in his Custom made Fighter Pilot's Flight Suit and his Jets Fighter Pilot Helmet. I'll also be near the top of section 335 leading our crew in the upper deck. So if you're not in section 135 or 333 be sure to be the leader in your section and let's make Gang Green feel right at home! In addition, each time the Jets get a first down, we'll shout... "That's another New York Jets... FIRST DOWN!!!". I bet that before the end of the game, every Jets fan in that crowd will be with us!!! Well that's it for now. Where's M? I guess just goto legends field? I was looking at the 'general parking' because on the website it says: "Day of game parking is available in Lots 1, 2, 11, 12, 13 and 14 (former Tampa Bay Center Mall) at $25 per space"
Well fellas, I will be in section 338... I think thats pretty high up there but it's there nevertheless. I don't know any of ya guy's but it would be cool to say hello and put some faces with the names. I will be parking somewhere near Legends field and taking the overwalk to the stadium ( or so my wife tell's me thats the fastest/easiest/cheapest). I don't know if that allows me to squeeze/sneak into one of the many tailgate party's you guys are all talkin' about, so if not maybe I'll bump into one or some of you guys there.... I am not one of the better known or frequent posters on this board, but Iv'e managed to not get myself banned and been here for a few years anyway, so..... I'd like to bump into some of ya, and say hey, may be we will be more civil to each other in person than we are on this board sometimes...lol.
