I live in Chicago and I can finally see the Jets play at Soldier Field! Last time they played a road game against the Bears, it was 2002, the disaster in Champaign where they lost (killer penalties, Chris Chandler somehow completing 23 of 28, Leon Johnson scoring against us, Chrebet's fumble at the end) and we all thought the division was gone. Then they beat the Patriots and Packers and won the AFC East. And I still have Benigno's rant after that game on tape, one of the best ever.
I have friends out there, flew out for that 2002 game and then stayed in the city. They already have me lined up for next year, I'm just hoping the schedule doesn't fuck me and put the game on Christmas or my anniversary or something. I've been past Soldier Field a million times and never in it.
Considering that happens maybe once a decade, I think safe money would be the Jets traveling to Oakland yet again. And since that chart in the OP has the AFC West team in the away column, that would probably be the case.
Dude things can change easily. Remember when we saw our schedule last year? it looked like a nightmare. We had to play the #1 Seed Titans. The #2 Seed Panthers. They all looked so dominate but then they turned into joke teams over the off season and we beat them. I can easily see the Vikings becoming a joke team and an easy win. ALtho time will tell
You mean you can't wait to hear Scott talk about lighting up Favre. Scott is all mouth and little impact. He hasn't lit anyone up all season.
I'm a wee bit lost here, I do you know our home and away schedule for 2010? I'm guessing this is just hypothetical???
And therein lies the problem. Cause the Jets can easily turn into a joke 4-12 team or 0-6 start Titans team as well. A couple of key injuries, much like this year and playoff hopes can be dashed by Mid October. Obviously, thats not what I'm hoping - but like the lottery - hey you never know....
97% of the schedules are already set...this site is fantastic for seeing who we play in the years to come http://www.johnnyroadtrip.com/schedules/nfl_future_afce.htm
Thanks for the info!! We host the first regular season game vs the Giants, I thought it was out turn so this just verifies it. We can at least rub that in Giant fan faces, lol.
Well, with the regular season over, it's official that we'll be playing the Texans (at home) and Broncos (in Denver) next year.
Meantime the Pats get the Colts and Chargers, the Dolphins get the Titans and Raiders and the Bills get the Jaguars and Chiefs. Yes, the Jags came last in the division when all was said and done.
