Honestly, every thing is in play. We have a rookie HC and a rookie quarterback with a poor TD/Int ratio on the road outdoors against a Pro Bowl caliber QB with a team that swept one of the toughest divisions in the league...But we just beat the shit out of them. We have the best defense and running game in the league and we showed it...But I have no idea what the likelihood is that the Bengals replicate their performance. I really can't remember a time where there was a playoff match-up this weird. Sanchez could throw 4 picks and we could lose by twenty, or tonight could happen again and I wouldn't be surprised.
After the way we played tonight. I expect to win. They got really banged up tonight plus we were so much more physical then them.
They had nothing to play for though...why would they be so physical? As an aside, watching the players high-five the fans on their way out was pretty awesome.
I'm sure the bengals will come out next week with a different approach and it won't be a shut out. But our defense will step up again and our offense will continue to run the football. I predict Jets win!
We made their starters look terrible. I had mentioned it before as well, that we can beat Cincy at full strength. Their 'pro bowl caliber' QB was man handled and their pro bowl WR was shut down. Their number 2 rush D got pissed on and Sanchez was simply unplayable, handing off 53 balls to the RBs. Victory is what a lot of experts better predict. I certainly do predict victory!
I'm expecting a repeat performance. All the plays Shotty called tonight were spot-on and almost the exact opposite of what he has called during the season. I expect tonights play to carry on.
NFL players dont know how to loose.. And in the first half they had 98% of there team in there. This game (1st half speaking) wasnt scheme. It was... you know we are running and we are going at you. And did you see carson palmer vs our blitz? He was scared out of his mind.
Well my point is that I'm unsure of tonight's impact on next week's game. Obviously, you're pretty sure.
Totally awesome!!!! Mark Sanchez went up into the stands & Rex Ryan was high 5'ing the fans. Sure hope that 17a and the gang stayed 'till the end & will post pics.
With a #1 Defense and #1 Running Game, I am rooting for a very cold and very windy day in Cincinnati (early forecast prediction is 20-25 degrees with 13 MPH winds). This type of weather should neutralize Cincy's passing game and give the Jets an advantage.
Cinci didn't have a passing game all year. They were 26th in the league. I'm more worried about Benson coming back.
