It doesn't really matter I would assume if you aren't happy, and coming to practice every morning makes you miserable because you cant stand being on the team anymore, then no matter if your a contender or not you'll still want to leave.

Anyway I don't really know how he feels, but people will speculate this as a legit reason and will give something good in return for him.

well he doesn't seem to put team first. Im sure he'd rather play on a team where he gets the attention rather than the whole team. EGO

Bottom line rex is going to get his type of players here. If he thinks rhodes can't be that player then am sure he will sign off on any trade tanny can get for him. I think it's time for him to move on and if some team is willing to give us a decent pick in return then am all for it. I want us back in the afccg as soon as possible so do whatever it takes to make that happen.

I'm sick of his attitude, running toward the sideline while the ball is live is unforgivable and characteristic of his shitty attitude. We need hard nose players not pussies.

I say trade him, hopefully get some value for him before we have to just cut him. He is a me-first player with a terrible attitude and I don't want it rubbing off on everyone else. He avoids contact and on some plays we might as well play with 10 guys cause he just stands there and watches the play. Then waves his arms up and down ready to blame it on someone else.

Maybe we can trade him to some modeling agency for some hot Flight Crew members.

    Even better, for some bunnies-

If you can get something good for him then trade him. Otherwise keep him.

If he isn't cut already I'll be pissed. What are we going to get for him? Do you think other teams ignore game films? Tackle this with your back you f'ing puss. I can't believe I used to be a huge fan of his.

It's threads like this that allow me to remember why I loved Victor Green.

Keep him. Why trade him if we can't get a first, just another whole to fill.

I think we have to ask ourselves.
Can we improve the position...and that goes with every position and IMO the way he has been, he may be easier to replace than we think.

I can see us getting a 3rd and a 5th for him. That seems to be the going rate for players that want out (see Jenkins and B Edwards). Even if we could just get a 3rd, I would pull the plug

Not to be taken as a realistic idea more of a "fantasy" flyer

Get on the phone to Al Davies. Tell him Oakland need a safety and suggest Rhodes for Asomougha(sp?)

Then chain Eric Smith to an intense physical training regime and make him study game film 12 hours a day until the season starts and keep it going

We can then pick up an edge rusher and potential safety development type in the draft

    I can dream right?

    Rhodes a 2nd & 4th for Asomugha....

Even though we strike gold in the 4th rounds...DO IT!

    Give up more draft picks!??

We have given up enough in this deep draft and that won't solve out Safety problem.

It would be freakin amazing sure, but not happening. It is nice to dream though.

It's pretty telling that Rex has way more praise for Jay Feeley's ability to tackle.

He needs to go somehow, and I don't really care how it happens. He's just not cut out to be a Jet. I say trade if it's something that can't be passed up, otherwise just cut him and look for somebody who wants to be the best and is willing to work to achieve it. If he wasn't on the team, Revis would call him a slouch.

I agree about getting a really good pass rusher as an option instead - if the QB is always under pressure, a guy like Eric Smith might be just good enough.

My first choice would be to find a way to use him.

My second choice is trade him to the Browns for a 2nd or 3rd round pick and draft Nate Allen.

I'm only trading him if they get overpaid, like a 2nd rounder or a 3rd and a later pick. Or, for that matter, if they can deal him to a team that needs a safety bad, but has an extra corner they wouldn't mind dealing away, maybe an older guy that doesn't fit a rebuilding team.
