with Rolle out the door in AZ and it seeming as though Kerry could be out here as well, maybe we can work out something like a strait up trade? i know with the new uncapped year ahead we can't make a major splash in FA but i could see something like this working out for both teams...what do you guys think is this crazy or sound like a good idea? i think Rolle could be a perfect fit for this hard hitting, blitzing, rex ryan defense! http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpages/player_main.aspx?sport=NFL&hl=167905&id=3149

    This would be perfect

Rolle would be an improvement over softy Kerry Rhodes

That'd be one less thing to worry about come draft time.

That's a pretty misleading thread title.

I think the Cards would except this or some sort of deal before they get rid of him. I'd b a little ridiculous just letting him go wen they can get something in return

Why in the hell would the Jets trade for a player that's going to get released?

To everyone in this thread that actually agreed with the OP:

    THINK before you post.

Rolle is a converted corner. While he might be more physical than the Prancing Pony I doubt he's very good in run support. The big thing would be to get the disgruntled, lazy POS Rhodes off this team while not losing anything talent-wise because I'm sure Rolle would at least equal Rhodes' production.

However, this is all hypothetical BS. We can't sign anyone, so the chances of us getting Rolle are essentially jackshit.

If Rolle gets cut then any team can sign him..it's signing UFA's that's the problem

I dont see how Rolle would be any worse than Rhodes in run support

I dont get your point? If your intending that the Jets should sign him and not trade for him i dont see how that would b possible, seeing as they are looking to release him this week. The Jets would not be able to pick him up in Free agency? If that is what your trying to put across

The Cardinals have let the media know that they're going to cut Antrel Rolle.

Why would we give up ANYTHING for a guy that's not worth shit?

As much as I don't like Kerry Rhodes, the guy has value, especially during the draft. If the Jets wants to acquire more picks, Rhodes could be thrown into a deal.

True IMO Rolle has a larger upside then Rhodes. Dont get me wrong i also like Rhodes trade value but some how if posible i would love Rolle to be a Jet. But i can see where your coming from

I think Antrel Rolle is the better of the two, as well...I still don't think you understand what I'm saying.

If Rolle gets cut, anyone can sign him. The Cardinals have come out and said that they're going to release Antrel Rolle sometime this week. There's absolutely no reason to trade for a guy that's going to get cut.

I have no clue why some of you are saying we should trade him, or that we can't sign him! Lets get this straight people, if a player obtains free agent status via being cut by a team, we can sign them, the Jets being part of the final 4 doesn't matter. This is part of the rules for the uncapped year, its specifically stated for final 4 teams because of all the restrictions they have, if he is cut we can sign him! Then we can save Rhodes for a trade for draft picks if that's what the Jets want to do.
