being optimistic is one thing......and i fully support optimism......planning the parade is another. I'm optimistic that the Jets have made some superb moves....and will challenge for the division. But crowning them this early....is retarded.
I get mad when the media has to go to an extreme - like saying the Jets are the new team to beat in the AFC - when we haven't won a division title in almost a decade. These headlines are designed to either give Jets fans euphoria or give Pats fans hemorrhoids because of the extreme nature of it. Someday this watered-down nonsense that we call the mainstream sports media will be all but replaced by true sports analysis done by people who are qualified to do it - not by some twat with a journalism degree and a master's in butt-sniffing.
Funny that my friends that are Giants fans are all now saying oh we will be rooting for your team this year and I like what you guys got going on over there. I told them bitch please get off our dick.
I'm pretty sure just about every paper and media outlet needs to fail before that happens. Not to say I'm against that.
Watch Buffalo come out of nowhere and win the AFCE.LOL. I do think the Jets will win the division but it won't be easy. When does the schedule come out? With the draft less than two weeks away I would assume any day now.
Cautiously optimistic? uh.....uh.....uh.....*drool* Perfect quotes in response to this article. Play first, talk smack later...
Until we can consistently put Brady on his back the jets cannot do too much bragging. The Pats just have beaten us way too much the last several years. We need to sweep the Pats for the next two, three seasons then we can talk about being the best in the AFC.
I am cautiously optimistic, but it's nonsense to say the Pats' "reign is over" when we haven't won more games than them in any season since about 2000.
Guys like Mike Mayock will come out of the woodwork and take jobs over. It's going to be a slow process. I have friends who want to be journalists, but they don't know as much as I do and one of them wrote an article about LT coming to the Jets and it sucked. He's a Giants fan too. He talked about Thomas Jones and the PFT bullshit about him resigning for less. Every real expert has said that if LT stays within his niche with the scheme of the offense he'll thrive. I have another friend who is going to be the next Colin Cowherd.... sensationalist douche.
Wow talk about setting us up to fail. I much prefered it last year when everyone thought we were a joke.
You do realise you are asking the good people on this board to believe that you have at least 2 friends right?
:lol::lol: Anyway isn't this like the 5th article that has come out since like February about the same shit? Pats are done, Jets are amazing? Well I enjoy it but lets at least sweep these fuckers first. Anyway we're 3-5 against the Pats in the reg. season since '06 we are getting there, it probably could of been 4-4 but as we all know we were complete trash in '07 and the Pats were perfect.
You're all a bunch of wusses. We were 30 minutes from the superbowl last year and have significantly upgraded our roster since, while the Pats faded last year and have only gotten a year older on their roster. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out we are most certainly the team to beat in the AFCE and quite possibly the AFC.
We were a kick away from the AFC championship game in 2004,we got outselves a new kicker,we replaced Hacket and we looked a lot better on paper for the 2005 season. In reality we ended up being a lot worst.
