Colin Cowherd just predicted the Jets to draft Tim Tebow with their 2nd round pick (probably as a joke) and Revis called him crazy, haha.

That cracked me up, but Cowherd is the second person I've heard make that prediction. I just don't see it happening.

Cowherd's a shock 'n awe jockey. He's convinced saying whatever will make people go "WTF?" will get him ratings. He's probably right.

But for people like me, who can't stand his voice, his BS has no effect.

Cowherd (who I find more tolerable than most members here) has been associating the Jets and Tebow for the past week or so.

Based on what I've heard from him, he's not so much predicting us to take Tebow, but he's been using the Jets (among a few other teams) as an example of a team that can afford to take Tebow in, say, the Second Round because the team is virtually complete before even heading into the Draft.

I agree in that I think he utilizes that element of 'shock-'n-awe', but he's more about covering/discussing topics that are going to get ratings, i.e. topics listeners are interested in. And he openly admits this -- he's even said he's interested in Soccer but won't ever discuss it because no one really cares about it.

It's funny because, before Rex arrived, he NEVER mentioned the Jets. Since last year's PO run and with this Offseason's moves, he now mentions the Jets almost every day on his show. Why? Because the Jets are now a nationally interesting team, so he knows people wanna hear about them, so he makes it a point to talk about them.

As soon as someone drafts Tim Tebow I'm going to be ecstatic because that means some team is going to let some player fall.

I just hope he doesn't get drafted by a team in our division. I'd hate having to play that guy.

I know, or the Patriots. The Pats could have 3 shots at Tebow (not counting 22nd overall).

I agree I hope he gets picked in the first round ahead of us cuz that means a player we might be targeting falls one spot more.

However, why would not want a team in our division to have him? You don't want our defense to face a quarterback who can't pass?

The Pats would make the most sense (not sure at what exact # selection) because I recall hearing that Belichick - a year or couple years ago - met up with Urban Meyer to receive a crash-course on Florida's spread Offense; apparently Belichick was intrigued by it and had visions of adapting it to the NFL. So, if he's still considering this possibility, he may want to add Tebow at some point to facilitate that Offensive style.

the funny thing about Tebow is that NObody wants to draft this kid. HOwever, no body wants a team in their division to draft him so we dont play against him. Poor guy has so much hype to him from college, than you don't know if he can live up to it, BUT its so high that you might take a shot.

I do want a team in our division to draft him. Any of them.

Lot of talk of Denver moving down. We could conceivably get Berry at 11 if he slips or Thomas. Wonder if we have the ammo. Wouldn't shock me.
