To be honest, what Sean Smith said wasn't all that terrible. The point is that Darrelle Revis is just starting to talk now, after he has a defensive player of the year caliber season under his belt. Sean Smith is, plain and simple, a 'nobody'. He's practically still a rookie. Has he even been to a Pro Bowl? Braylon has. That doesn't even matter because Sean Smith didn't even shut him down. Maybe 69 yards is shutdown on a pass-happy team but the Jets ran the ball more than anyone last season. He can keep talking but that'll just make it all the sweeter when Braylon scores two TDs on his ass in their own stadium.

Don't lump me in to what others have said. I am my own poster, and am not responsible for comments of others.

Have I said that Sanchez sucks b/c he had some rookie struggles? No, I haven't...

To be fair, you can compare Smith to Cromartie if you like, and even in a season where people thought Cro played like ass, he was thrown at more and his QB rating against was still lower then Smith's. This year Cro is coming into a system that he likes to play (man coverage mostly), and has a chip on his shoulder. We all know Cro has a world of talent because he's displayed it before

Smith, on the other hand, is being called Lockdown, and the stats really just doing point that way. Given he was a rookie, and he has potential, but nothing says he will be better this year then last.

I wonder how many times Ginn beat Smith in practice? That seems to be the benchmark for fin fans when it comes to how good Revis really is...

Holy cow man you have gone a complete 180 than you were 4-5 years ago.

It was nothing but Pennington has a rubber band for an arm...In Saban We Trust. Dolphins chest thumping, etc.

Your posts the last year or so from what I've noticed are pretty direct and honest.

What happened to the old Blitz?

    No junc...you are wrong.

This is about a player lying that he dominated another player. Period. Its not about who beat who. That has nothing to do with it at all. You chose to put that in there.

The Jets, for all their chest pumping and trash talking, will put themselves in a hole on occasion. This is not one of them.

Forget about everything else and just address the fact that a player lied about dominating another player.

Its like a pitcher saying he has someones number..and that player is 10 for 15 lifetime against him with a couple homers. Who does that?

What this idiot did is not what the Jets have done...even Rex. Even after Rex felt he had the horses to go to the Super Bowl and then lost to the Colts...he didnt sit there and say we beat them.

Besides the fact that you hate having your team be a trashtalking team (Im not totally sold on it myself) you are either intentionally missing the point here or just missing the point period.

he said he "won the battles", I didn't see the word domination anywhere.

But it's clear he didn't win the battles.... that's the issue. He made it up. Rex talked smack before the game but when the Colts beat us he gave them credit.

No different then if after the Charger game Vincent Jackson would have said he got his game on against Revis, which was a clear lie.

I have to give Smith some credit, if I was one of the worst CBs in the league I would probably do anything to get people to focus on anything other than my horrible play on the field. Pretty smart move Smith, see you packing my groceries in two years.

the only thing won was a name drop on a youtube video as he and a teammate get dragged into the endzone by the guy who he "won the battles" against.

He won that battle so well that even his reinforcements couldn't bring down Edwards.

Smith is like that guy that was all over Iraqi TV after we invaded.... There are no troops here, Baghdad is not being bombed. We are able to take care of the infidels.

Off topic but you are correct-

My cousin nearly died after living down there for 8 months.

    Miami, it's a hell of a drug.
