ILB is easier to fill on this team. The defensive scheme can mask some positions that are lacking. That being said, Brick is a Top5 LT. You honestly want to let a guy like that walk?
word for word what I thought. Rex turned a below average defense into the number 1 D in a year. Losing Harris would put us down a notch but as long as we have Revis, Scott, and Jenkins our D will still be tough.
We were 16th overall in 2008, 7th in rushing, and 29th in passing. That is pretty amazing when you look at it that way. Considering we went to first in overall and passing. 8th in rushing BTW. Also went from 15th in points allowed to first. Rex is friggin amazing.
I agree Harris, but it would really hurt us because Scott is over rated and ILB is not our strong suit. Lets hope we can keep all 4, no reason not to. Mr. T can get it done
Over rated?? He helps lead the defense, Rex needed him to help the other players understand the defense. His role has been vital, and the guy plays his heart out. You see his number around every play.
Man, I didn't even make it to this part of your post. MANGOLD??? He's the best center in the league. Revis and Mangold aren't even a possibility to leave.
Mangold and Revis are the two most important players on the team right now. Neither can be allowed to go. I would hope to keep Ferguson and Harris as well, but if one had to go... Tough call. I think Harris might be the slightly better player, but as many others have said it's harder to find and fit in a quality LOT than ILB, and with Sanchez developing, LOT is an even more key position than it normally would be. Sooooo I guess that leaves Harris by a nose.
