this is totally absurd... i know they are ranking qb units but the fact that Romo and co. are ahead of the Pats, colts, and saints is dumb... i know that none of those teams have backups but i still think these ratings are ridiculous... also the jets shouldnt be 19th... no way the seahawks and bears are ahead of us. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/lists/QB-power-rankings#sport=NFL&photo=11357981
considering we have sanchez with one shaky rookie season and then a whole bunch of nothing after that i would say anything better than 25 is beyond fair.
but would you really put some of the teams ahead of us there.... and i think the list as a whole is dead wrong.
lol these rankings are insane. 1.Big Ben- number 1? First of all he is suspended. 2. Favre- Yes he is coming back, but we arent even 100% sure. I never knew a 41 year old QB would be ranked 2nd in the NFL in 2010 lol. 3. Tony Romo-Becoming a much much much better QB, but ahead of Brees, Brady, and Manning? Somebody was drunk when they wrote this 4.Phil Rivers- Becoming a great one too, but ahead of Brees, Manning, and Brady is a slap across the mouth. 5. Brady 6. Manning 7. Brees 8. Flacco- over Aaron Rodgers? No.. never. 9. Aaron Rodgers- He will win a Superbowl. Kid is sick. 10. Chad Henne, Pennington, Thigpin, Patwhite- I somewhat understand this, because of the depth, but Dolphins are gay sharks so... no. This entire list is pretty much an insult to 75% of the NFL quarterbacks playing today.
Having Chad on the list automatically drops them from 20 to 10. We all know he's smart, so he's in the perfect role right now.
i totally agree its just that they were ranking units and i guess that manning/painter isn't a head of the cowboys unit... i totally disagree but i understand... i think that manning and a 10 year old is still the best just because manning is that good
In all seriousness you do have to take into account the backups. They aren't ranking the starters only, obviously this list would look much different.
Maybe their D was tired because the qb was turning the ball over at an average of 2.5 times a game. Besides, how can we blame the D when those rook CBs showed so much potential?...Salguero..
Some of the rankings may need to be swapped around, but every QB squad that is ranked ahead of the Jets should be ranked ahead of the Jets.
The Jets and Dolphins should be about the same from a starter standpoint The Dolphins do have tremendous depth at the position with Henne, Pennington, and Thigpen and that's what gives them the edge here. I still feel 10 is a little too high honestly
wow Peyton Manning at no. 6 (Brady, Rivers, Romo LMAO, Favre and Big Ben ahead of him). These rankings make no sense. Brees at 7?? Flacco is not better than Rodgers. Henne at 10 ahead of Eli Manning? All of the QBs in the top 18 belong ahead of the Jets but not in that order. It's like they threw the names into a random order machine.
My guess is that the order will be Sanchez, Brunell, O'Connel in week one. If you compare that to Henne, Pennington, Thigpen, you have to give the edge to the Fins because of Thigpen's starting experience over O'Connel. However, I don't think Brunell or Pennington can play anymore. Sanchez deserves the edge over Henne because he's been to three more postseason games than him (even though he's less experienced).
I see what you are saying, but don't lose yourself ... your D and the running game got you to the postseason. Sanchez didn't mess it up when he got there though and played with tremendous poise - I assume that's why he gets the edge. In the 2 games ending the season that were must wins, Sanchez threw 19 and 16 passes, and had 106 and 63 yards respectively ... the D / TJ / Greene got you there
