thinking outside the conspiracy box here... Maybe for the home opener, they want it to be about the new stadium, and the future of the team, not celebrating the past heros of NY. Thus they are doing it prior to the home opener.
there hoping to get people to attend that game.then after a good jets vs giants and halftime ring of honor show, they hope people decide to buy season tickets.
Yep screwed by the NYJs me & many others when the NYJs claimed they lost the records prior to 77. Actually for all us 60s STH U can really say we got a true Woody reaming without any lubing!
u think he thinks it will be sold out in 27 days????? i think he hopes...... but he is taking nothing for granted coming up to this deadline.
A velcro sticky pad thing on enzone walls that is popped on and off each game isn't even worthy of a thread, and I post stupid threads.
Well into what you posted you can add to it the quality of the players we have had over the years which make this thread doubly not worth it. When I saw it before even opening it I chuckled at the silliness of it all
I think it is 100% unfair they base seating on senority. Why not height, good looks, how hung you are, who has hottest wife? Truthfully, senority is a good thing, but problem is there are a lot of "renters" out there and people who had seats transferred to their name who had very little of senority count. Other trouble is scalpers and people who never go but have such great seats they rent or sell each year get counted pretty high up.
Every one is entitled to there HO. Being a STH from the 60s I think that seniority should count. Nobody tells U how to use your tix's right? So why should you tell others how to use there's? No matter if somebody rents out the seats or not he/she has been a STH for many, many years & should get at least some reward for be so loyal thru the years. In my case I have 45 years in. Most likely more years then you have been on this good earth. Why should I not have better dibs at seats then say somebody who became a STH last year or just a few short years ago? The scalpers you mention & I hope you include yourself in that class for the most part have also had STs for some years other wise how would they get the tix in the 1st place. In the row behind him some travel agent has STs & I guess soldl them every game to fans of the team we were playing. Are you saying he to is not entitled to seniority rights just because he owns a travel agency? You missed your chance to rent my seats at cost if U forgot & as it turned it according to all reviews I have seen they have turned out to be primo seats. Now if the NYJs would have gone by total strict seniority instead of claiming they lost the records from 60 to 76 I probably would have wound up with even more primo seats which naturally has POed to this day
I was on board with the seniority because my Pops transfered the tix to my name(FINALLY), as I've said numerous times. He didn't need it to buy CC. Anyway, the part that did piss me off was knowing a few guys who sold their seniority to people who had none. My widowed Aunt was dating a guy who had tix since the late 70's, and he sold his seniority for a couple of grand. Which now with the way things turned out those buyers are probably pissed. lol Still it's BS, we can't expect the Jets to do anything about it.
Sorry I think U derailed on the seniority part. When you sold your tix to somebody outside your family your seniority on those tix was terminated. The new owner's seniority began when you he turned in the transfer form you had signed turning over the seats to him. Yes they probably rued the day they paid a vig to the old owner of the seats but OTH for years they had the tix they did see live & in person NYJ FB which was certainly a plus to the minus they had with having to pay a vig
What I was saying is people like my Aunt's friend kept them in his name and the purchaser of his seniority will get them transfered to him come 2011.
OK so that meant the seniority of those tix will start in 2011. He does not get a leg up on the seniority as you mentioned
