Even if Woody Johnson lost his mind and fired the entire front office and went to TGG looking for the replacements and he offered me the GM job, I'd turn it down. My only problem with the voting is that nyjunc and Br4dw4y5ux received votes. nyjunc would be better suited for a media relations or community relations job. I would not want him doing actual football work. He would be a great shill for Johnson and the organization as a whole. I know that term has a negative connotation, but I am using it as a positive here. I truly feel that nyjunc would be a good ambassador for the team and that's what I meant when I wrote about nyjunc earlier in the thread. I'll have to re-read his response, but I think he interpreted it in a negative way. Br4dw4y5ux would be terrible. There would be all sorts of clashes with the head coach, scouts, and owner. If there wasn't a position open for him, one could be created. Senior football advisor sounds about right. Br4dw4y5ux is a smart guy, but in my humble opinion he would be entirely wrong for a GM or team president position.
That was a joke thread designed to spice up the baseball forum during dull times. Originally, my friend Ryan suggested I make a case for Kevin Bass to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. I had previously done the same with Brian Sipe on another football forum. I really did make a serious argument for Sipe and it received all sorts of serious comments. It was an interesting exercise. Well, try as I might I simply could not find a way to make a case for Bass. I reported back to Ryan and he told me to go with the ass poll. I thought that went well. That thread is grade A material (TommyGreen's current sig makes me smile everytime I see it). You do realize I was going over-the-top on purpose, right? I mean, at least Dierking figured it out.
