Shitty QB or not Kellen has always been a classy guy. Never opened his mouth...I'd like to see him get a legit shot somewhere but it looks like its not going to happen.

He wasn't going to show up somewhere the end of August and start. If he didn't end up the starter for the team that drafted him and needed a QB twice since he's been here, he's probably not going to.

not shocking to me. kellen has always been a team first guy, and frankly he thinks he has a chance to win a ring in NY in 2010. He wants the ring more than a chance to start right now, so if a pay-cut lets him get a legit chance at a ring, he will do what he has to do to get it.

He's lucky to even be in the league right now, so why wouldn't he take a pay cut to stay?

Its nuts to think though that he is still going to be taking home over ONE MEEELION DOLLARS to basically stand around watching all the jets games.

If he plans correctly he'll be able to afford Jets tickets and watch the games when he retires, too. But only if he plans correctly.

I think he has realized that he can make millions by standing in the side and be your regular backup for a nfl team.

    sucks though

If you have a backup that can take snaps and hand off without fumbling you start out ahead of most teams in the NFL.

I think Clemens is a solid career backup. I'm glad to have him on this team. He's the kind of guy that might end up being a solid starter when he turns 29 or 30 a la Jake Delhomme. Whenever he's out there he seems to have a good arm and a solid grasp of the system, but he's always just missing throws.

I just gotta gut feeling that KC is gonna get his legit chance to start for the JETS this year,,,whether it be Sanchez injury vs 1-4 start...i personally cant wait

Of course he took a paycut... because it was either that or go call it a career. No surprise. That was the only way I expected him to be on this roster... when it cost us less money.
