I'm not a thread starter, but this one comes from pure boredom. I just took the bar exam in July and don't start working until Mid September, so I have been home watching a lot of ESPN and other sports talk shows etc. Some of the information or theories that these people put out is just absurd and in some cases just plain wrong. Figured I would see what everyone thinks. I personally hate Adam Schefter, he almost always reports incorrect or only partially correct stories and this new thing with 3-4 teams calling him out over the Leinart trade rumors proves my point. As for an commentator I gotta say I hate Joe Buck. I swear he looks at Troy Aikman like he is in love with him. If you heard the rumors about him and Fernando Tatis, I think I may be right on this one. I apologize if someone at some point has started a thread like this, but again, I've been bored out of my mind and needed something to do.
Ian Eagle, that little prick, sets all Ian's (E-N) back 20 years. Plus hes a prick And joe Theisman, that dumb fuck, you are a self contradicting moron. That idiot from PTI was a car wreck to listen to also thank christ that only lasted so long. Dennins Miller...what a failed experiment that was. John Madden at the end, another self contradiction machine, couldnt stand listening to him
I have never really been a Jim Nantz fan. I like Phil Simms, and thought he and Greg Gumbel were a good team
I do concede that Schefter has been called the "info" guy of the NFL by some people, but maybe my personal dislike for him makes me think of the times he has been wrong. But I have to also point out, a lot of his news is common sense. He was credited with being the guy to first break the story that JaMarcus Russell was going to be cut by the Raiders, but anyone who watches football knew it was only a matter of time till that happened, when your first round pick/giant salary player was benched for Bruce Gradkowski, just about anyone with any common sense knew that was happening. I think he just gets too much credit for reporting news that any fan would just assume. Just my personal opinion, and I admit, is biased b/c he just gets under my skin.
Collinsworth tends to bother me, but Dierdorf combines both arrogance and ignorance in a way I never thought possible.
Colin Cowherd is also one of those guys that bothers the fuck out of me. He reports correct information, but he self-promotes himself more than most politicians. Every time he points out that something he previously said proved true I just want to punch him in the head. He reminds me of the annoying kid in High School that would never shut up about non-sense until he got beat up.
I also hate the way that Collisworth thinks he still plays in the NFL, kinda like how Ray Lucas also does. At least Lucas is on a Jets show.
Collinsworth is awful, he sounds so smug in everything he says. However, Joe Thiesman (after listening to one game) is the worst just everything he says is BLAAAAAA

I should remember his name, but the guy who did the color commentary for the Vikings the other night was absolutely intolerable. Maycock? He takes homerism to a whole another level.
It is Mayock ... he is horrible during Vikings games. I turned the channel when he came on last year. This year hasn't changed much either.
Simms went from being really good to just talking for the sake of talking... Whoever has the ball and is moving it down the field is the greatest team since sliced bread for him now... I think Aikman does a nice job, but who knows in a couple of years...
I haven't heard Mayock in the broadcast booth but his analysis and film breakdown on NFLN has always been impressive. He has a high football IQ.
