It's difficult to say anyone has confidence in the Jets' left guard situation. Matt Slauson has won the job basically by default because rookie Vladimir Ducasse makes way too many mental errors. But Slauson, who looks like a good run blocker, has shown problems in pass protection. It's looking like the Jets got rid of Alan Faneca a year too soon faneca was prob the worst pass blocking guard in the league last year. sometimes i think half the people on this board could do a better job than cannizzaro and cimini. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/jets_cornered_icHcFw7EYRkdmWfPRPRYpM
What I love the most is that Slauson showed problems in pass pro on 1 PLAY... and just because they showed that on HK everybody thinks only about that 1 play and not about all the others were he did a fine job...
I think, statistically, nobody in the league can be any worse than Faneca was at his particular position. Oh yeah.... skyisfalling,skyisfalling,skyisfalling.....Some of these guys "in-the-know" need to get their heads out of their own asses. Cannizzaro is usually more level headed than this.
Al Faneca was too old and experienced to change the way he blocks. At least you can COACH Slauson and Ducasse into pass blocking better.
It's been 8 months, 17 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes since Alan Faneca allowed a sack. Or, to say it another way, about 260 days.
Thanks for that info. I suggest U advise Wisenhut of that fact as I am sure he has more interest in it then us NYJ fans have
Wow...my letter of apology is in the mail....sheesh. I should just stick to BS section where posters at least have a sense of humor. Who's to say I didn't agree with your original post?
It was this mocking my signature where you crashed & burnt It's been 8 months, 17 days, 16 hours and 23 minutes since Alan Faneca allowed a sack. Or, to say it another way, about 260 days.
I wonder if the Jets actually win the SB if Champ's sig will change to Woody is now 1-11 in bringing the Jets the VLT . I wonder if the lockout year counts?
