I just can't take this guy during the pressers. Every question comes with his smug attitude. Today it was Clowney: "Rex, how could you cut Clowney? "Isn't there a human factor involved?" "Didn't you see Patrick Turner play in Miami?" "Two UDFs beat him out". How is this guy still a beat writer? He thinks he knows so much more than Rex and Tanny. He should be banned from all pressers forever.

I took his comment differently. I took it as him calling the Jets management out for playing fantasy football by trading players at will and showing no loyalty to people who've been with the organization. Apparently he's not covered NFL football for very long.

Why would the Jets replace Clowney with a guy who got beat out by 2 UDFs in Miami? If we need to cut Clowney, I am fine with it, but lets try to upgrade the team. Where is the benefit here?
I'm guessing in the hope that he has info about the Miami offense to share. Does it really matter if it's him or Clowney? Neither can play STs, neither are going to be a factor on the offense, and there's like a 99% chance Turner is getting cut after week 1 anyway.
He likes breaking balls. He did it when the Jets let go of Brooks Bollinger and last year really went after Rex.... I can not remember who that was for. Leberfeld is a tool.

Exactly. But Leberfeld thinks he really knows more than the CS. A couple weeks ago, it was the same s*** with Allison. Now other beat writer comes off as a bigger a**hole than Leberfeld. I'm surprised Rex put up with his Clowney rant.
Seeing Rex chew his ass out would be entertaining, but this is definitely one situation where Rex should not run his mouth.
