Not his fault, but the rule that you have to control the ball all the way until you get up cost them the game. Steelers win in OT. Too bad.
Megatron makes the catch in the end zone, spins as he goes to the ground, then hand with the ball hits the ground and he lets go of the ball.
Not sure how to explain it but basically Johnson caught the ball, jumping above the DB, planted both feet on the ground, his body hits the ground (with possession) and as he is rolling his arm over the ball hits the ground. Mike Pereira was on the "Fox command center" justifying the BS reason that was not a TD.
detroit won that game the play is over once he lands with his 2 feet and has posession tons of players toss the ball as soon as they hit the field guarenteed that rule gets reclairified at the owners meetings
It was two feet down, then his knee and as his spinning he plants the ball into the ground as he's jumping up. It was a TD. Everyone who's seen it knows it's a TD. They just didn't call it that way.
I can understand the call but if that happened to the JETS i'd be heartbroken. Sucks cause MEGA is on my fantasy team.
It's even more bullshit that Mike Pereira confirmed that shitty call. Sorry guy, you guys got ass-gaped by a zebra.
As I understand it, the ref made the correct call. It's just a ridiculously stupid rule. Kind of like the Tuck Rule situation.
When do they ever not confirm a shitty call? Pretty much every call in the NFL can come down to a "judgement call" due to the shitty, vague rules like this they have. Whichever way a ref screws the pooch they conjure up some obscure defense to an awful call.
It was a complete crock of shit call. The closest ref called it a TD and then got overruled. It's a stupid rule.
