Vlad Ducasse Joe McKnight Calvin Pace Patrick Brown Jeff Cumberland Marcus Dixon Howard Green Kellen Clemens (3rd QB)
Woodhead was clearly signed for insider info. Howard Green inactive though; he's not game ready yet I'm guessing?
Woodhead must be a pickup for the future after Welker. I figure by the time Welker leaves, that will be about 8 years of development time, Woodhead should be able to make the field in special teams 3 or 4 times a game by then.
Man......frustrating to think draft picks like Ducasse and McKnight can't even be activated. Especially Ducasse.
The fact that all off season we had to hear about Ducasse and Slauson competing for the starting job, and now Ducasse isn't even activated makes you think we may have 2 stink bomb picks.
Ducasse came from Umass and is at least a year away from playing in the NFL. He was always a project. Mcknight is an extremely talented player that needs to grow up. We are fortunate we don't need to draft players that need to have immediate impacts.
Great to see Pool back! Eric Smith is strong against the run, but Pool is much better in both run defense as well as playing the pass, something that Smith is pretty bad at.
Fair enough points guys. I just think a guy that had a chance to start at an already weak position is inactive and goes from potential starter to "project" says a lot about the weakness of the position. It's not encouraging. It's not like the fullback spot where we were three deep with talented guys. That, and I'm impatient.
There's no specific thread to put this in, but just want to say Favretard is doing his best to lose to the Phins.
He was drafted from day 1 as a project, but journalist made it into a battle that DuCasse wasn't goign to win.
