I've been a frequent visitor to Pittsburgh as I have long time friends living there. Nice city and I enjoy the town. You will get a few jabs wearing Jets gear but like another poster said you will be downing a few brews in good cheer in no time with most of them. Night life is on the South Side just a skip and a jump from Station Square along the Mon River. If you dont have tix that would the the place to go. Great bars and restaurants there. The Strip District along the Allegheny is OK but feels a little desolate at night.

"Feel for the city" was a classic thread around here several months ago!

My only visit to Pittsburg was a few minutes at the airport. And the best I remember this was a shopping mall with a landing strip.

"Yeah. we're gonna get raped tonight."
    Pause

That thread is from 3 years ago, not a few months ago.

It's about an 8 hour drive from the GWB. I go about twice a year to visit my sister and her family. The stadium is nice I reccomend getting a burger from the fire pit at one of the end zones it was very good (altough I think I was not supposed to eat there because my seats were way up top.) I went to the Pitt vs SU game last year. The fans are fine unless your cell phone rings, Mine did and to be polite I turned it off but the two groups behind me acted like I had commited a mortal sin for having my phone on. Wierd! but whatever. Have a good trip!

I'm really surprised the "Feel for the City" thread is that old. I haven't been around three years but I vividly remember that thread. It's a classic!

my wife is from Pittsburgh, and i travelled there a numerous number of times over the past two years. I am not a big fan of going to opposing stadiums (Miami game last week was first) If you are going with the family, be careful as the fans there are pretty bad with heckling. I was in a suite in the box at Miami so i didn't catch it too bad...If you don't mind getting shit thrown at you then have a good time...You just never know who you will be sitting by
