Maybe but let's not act like this trade make them not as good of a team. If they were solely focused on beating us they would have kept him
That's my excuse ahaha, but man after watching the Cowboys, Packers, Saints and Chargers lose today, nothing would look better than for the Jets to get a convincing win on MNF
Flipping through channels on saturday, overheard during Illinois vs. Penn St. game on ESPN: "Does Brett Farve still have the arm to throw to Moss?" -Unknown announcer "Not against the Jets! Ha ha ha!" -Bob Wischusen
I think now we get to see the true measure of the Jets defense. At least how they planned to play before the Revis injury. With Pace back and Revis helping to shore up the pass coverage, if he is 100% then the full arsenal of blitz packages will be available. Plus you could see more unique formations with the LBs with Pace back in the rotation. I could envision Pace, Taylor and Thomas being on the field at the same time on passing downs for pass rushing. Something where one of those guys plays a down lineman.
God damnit, I forgot tonight was Thanksgiving in Canada. I'm working till 6, driving an hour to eat dry turkey, TAKING HOME NO LEFTOVERS, and driving another hour back home to watch the last quarter of this game...FUCK I FORGOT TO SET MY PVR> FUCKFUCKFUCK
A little concerned about the run defense, I have to say. Really curious to see if the Jets can bottle up AP.
AP is a special type of back, but at this point in the season our run D seems to be our strongest unit. And Minn rush D is pretty solid as well. This game is going to come down to Sanchez v. Favre. And I dont think the old man can hang in there against our pressure.
Hope the guys up front can somewhat bottle up AP (or force a fumble) and BRING THE PAIN to the Wrangler. Some serious pressure will force some stupid throws..... hopefully into Cromartie's hands
Jets-Vikings Similar to Jets-Ravens? When I look at the Vikings I See a team That Is Built Similar to the Ravens. Both teams have a QB That at times can be very productive and very dangerous, but also be very bad at times, causeing there team the game. Ray Rice is No Adrian Peterson ,but he is a very good back and has a better o-line to block for him. Baltimore also has a very good receiving Corp with Boldin and Housh where Vikings have Moss And Harvin. On THe Defensive side of the ball, vikings have one of the best front 4 of any team in football. However, like the Ravens, they have some questions on there secondary. With Cook being out this games, that leaves Lito Sheppard on either Holmes or Edwards, and That should be an easy win for the receiver. We Should hae won the Raven game, and we could have. I have a feeling that we wont let that kind of chance get away from us again.
Rex doesn't have nearly as much pride invested in this game as he did the Ravens game so I tend to think he won't outthink himself this time.
I'm a little concerned all around. I think the Jets should win, but seeing AP go nuts, Moss catching multiple bombs, the Vikings run D turning everything away, and Sanchez regressing a bit isn't very difficult to imagine. Just get me through this work day and put me in front of my tv. Gametime can't come soon enough.
I think that's been the highlight of the entire team since game 1... the Jets run D... I don't think we'll have a problem handling AP. I'm more worried about getting shredded in the medium to long range passing game. I'm not convinced that Favre is finally past his last leg. I think the bye and the Moss acquisition will seriously pipe up that offense. If it doesn't, then beers on me!
Our run D has been rather stout. I'm more concerned with their run defense than anything regarding our defense.
I can't concentrate at work. I'm not doing shit. All I think about is the damn game tonight. Searching this forum, refreshing the the Jets homepage. Trolling ESPN and profootball.com, nfl.com, etc for info regarding the game. This is the worst wait. Please get me through this day and get me home!
