OK, no need to discuss anything except Denver on this message board then. We're 4-1, everything is running perfectly.

Who is getting their panties in a bunch? We're having a discussion.

Fans are never happy. The strength of the Vikes D is up the middle and against the run. The secondary is suspect so the game plan made sense in trying to attack their weakness by throwing it a bit more. They ran it enough to be very effective and hung up 155 on the ground against a pretty good run defense. They tried jamming it down the Ravens throat with the run and going right into the strength of their D and how did that work out??? The coaching staff learned from that game.

I'm sure the gameplan coming in was to emphasize the pass against a stellar Minny run D. I'm not sure why we didn't adjust that, especially situationally, when the run was so effective. However, I don't buy the playing time-rhythm argument with the drops. Teams like the Pats rotate players in offensively at a much higher rate, and they do just fine. The fact that so many players were having a tough time tells me that it was likely weather related. Favre admitted after the game he hadn't practiced for the wet conditions. It's possible we didn't either.

Don't get me wrong I'm estatic about being 4-1, I love this team. But the stout Vikings D was giving up 5 YPC to the #1 rushing attack so I can't see why we didn't pound it more.

Would this had been the gameplan had Santonio not be in this game?

The Pats never took Moss or Welker off the field especially for Eddleman (sp?) and Danny Woodhead. There were times we went four wide with Holmes, Keller, Greene and Richardson.... WTF is the point of that?? Why on running plays do we have Cotch and Smith in when our two best run blockers are Holmes and Edwards??

Schotty definately got too cute last night and trust me if we lost this game last night we would be calling for his head once again but as it is a win cures all.

This is the best defense they played since Balt. Sanchez no turnovers.....rain.......played against magic man but sacked him 4 times...Sanchez targeted 6 different receivers multiple times which included the 'Terminator'.....LT2 almost got another 100 yds.....Shonn Greene breaks out for a TD......got into scoring range a whole bunch, Folk 5/5.....

I couldn't ask for anything more. These are games you have to win. This is what a winner looks like people....

There were a lot of drops. Tough to fault the receivers because the weather was terrible. If anything, the bad weather just shows how great Favre's arm is even after all these years in the NFL.
