I have the same feeling, if Orton gets on a roll we could be in trouble, they have too many weapons.

I dunno about TOO many weapons, though they clearly have some. They have Brandon Lloyd, who's been a human highlight reel so far. He's also been targeted 54 times this season, and 42 times in the past 3 games. He's also only converted roughly half of those 42 targets into catches though.

Eddie Royal is showing signs of returning to his (dangerous) rookie season form, though as it is he only has one catch of 40+ yards. Yes, he does play a lot of snaps in the slot, but also note his big game came against a rather porous Tennessee secondary.

I mean, they have ways to hurt us, but they aren't exactly stacked.

Gaffney is by far one of the most underrated receivers. Anyone know if Thomas is healthy? When he isnt hurt hes been pretty solid as well.

    Jets @ Broncos

Wow, I had no idea that the Broncs running game was so badly stuffed, 2.3 yds per carry? That should be down top 1.5 by the end of the night, hopefully.
Ortons passed for over 300 yds in each of 4 games........I wonder what Denvers game strategy is going to be???
Anyone want to take bets that Revis WILL be playing?

If there was a game this year where we need excellent secondary play, this is it.

They throw the ball around a lot... Obviously their lack of a running game explains why.

Is Knowshon playing in the game?

NFL network reported that he is expected back for week 6, but it is not a definite yet.

I wonder if Belichik is pouring over his roster and trying to come up with somebody he can trade to the Broncos this week? Maybe he trades Branch for Denver's 5th rounder...

LOL... actually, it was Sanchez who made the rest of us believers. It was also his play in mid season last year that had me so down on him.

One off game is to be expected, especially in that weather... look at how Favre handled it. Or fumbled it, as the case may be...

I think Rex will buck the critisism and blitz Orton even more, particularly with Revis hobbled/out. He will look to get a lot of hits on Orton, looking for turnovers either from fumbles or rushed throws due to the pressure. That might mean some big plays for Denver, but that is Ryan's D... high risk turnover oriented game plans.

Having just played Balt, Rex has fresh film of a defense very similar to the Jets' and I'm sure he'll dial some things up for Denver that they won't see coming. Nothing like turnovers to take the air out of a home crowd.

Pretty good analysis by one of the SNY writers. While I don't agree with the outcome he does bring up some interesting third-and-long arguments.

At least EVERYONE isn't kissing our ass yet...

I just read his prediction part, I'm sick of these retards bringing up our last drive of the 1st half. We had not TO's, in those conditions who knows how fast we can get lined up and set for a FG.

    That argument is retarded.

That article's last paragraph was pathetic.

Way to not report that when Orton is pressured, his comp % dives from 71 to 53.

Send the fucking house and the INTs will be around 3 on sunday.

I don't think Ryan is the kind of coach who takes any opponent for granted.
Rex will have the Jets ready to play.

ravens really dominated broncos last week:

    • broncos had 11 possessions and they punted 7 times and fumbled a kickoff.
    • ToP: DEN/23:43, BAL/36:17
    • ravens had 2 long scoring drives in the 2nd half where they ran the ball down the broncos throats and put the game away.

    broncos had 3 scoring drives:
    • a touchdown in 1:00 right before the half.
    • a fieldgoal in 4th qtr using a hurry up offense driving 60 yds in 8 plays 2:31.
    • a touchdown at the end of the game in 1:15.

all the broncos scoring drives utilized a lot of shotgun and no huddle. orton is clearly a more dangerous qb in the hurry up.

imo, the keys to winning this game for the jets is the blueprint laid out by the ravens; sustain long scoring drives and don't let orton get comfortable. unlike favre, if orton gets the ball at the end of the game (with even less than 2:00) with a chance to win the game it could be trouble.

NO coach takes ANY opponent for granted. The problem is, sometimes players do. Hopefully that doesn't happen here. (I don't think it will)
