coleman has EARNED the nickel job and lowery is a dime/back-up safety. wilson isn't playing well enough to see the field alot.
If Wilson really is snakebitten, putting on the PR might be a way to shake him out of it and give him some confidence. I love Jim Leonhard in the secondary, but his PR's have sucked. He is an automatic fair catch. Plus, I'd hate to see him get leveled on a return - let Wilson do it for a while - could be a boost for special teams while he works his way back into the secondary rotation.
Why was everyone giving those complaining about Wilson's play such a hard time? Remember, "He's just a rookie!"? I don't care if he's a rookie or a 10 year vet, it's just about if he's helping or hurting the team. This season he's been hurting the team and he needs some more time to develop.
I find it very comforting that the Jets have reached a level of quality where all of our current year's draft picks are learning from the bench while we continue to win games. When's the last time we haven't been desperately dependent on a rookie?
I am not quoting some same old jets fan jerkoff if they are going to compare Wilson to Gholston. To that poster, please kill yourself immediately.
I'm not worried about Wilson at all, but I am VERY excited to see Drew Coleman making plays. I, along with everybody on this board, thought he was the worst football player on the team for the longest time. Dude is playing at a high level now
Good point. It's been a long time since the Jets have been able to sit a rookie on the bench & just wait for him to develop. Think some of us look @ Revis last year & Cromartie this season & forget how lucky we are. Coming in to play CB as a rookie is just insane.
