The Jets fought and won a tough game in Denver this week.

I was waiting for the bottom to fall out and I felt like a familiar feeling. It felt right. But when LaDanian went in for the final touchdown, I exploded like I always do when my Jets win one.
Only thing is, I feel like maybe the Jets are starting to weaken a little. Denver looked like a real contender and from what I've read here and other places, they are not that good. But the Jets D allowed them to look great. The picks were bound to come and thats OK.

Bottom line is this. I think the Jets got screwed on some tough calls(Leonhard, Cromarti?) and got a great break on the One with Holmes at the end of the game. But I really wanted them to beat the stuffing out of Denver. I hate the Broncos more then New England and more than Miami.

    Thoughts?

yeah your an idiot for hating denver more than out 2 most hated rivals... as for what you said about the game the broncos have one of the best passing attacks in the nfl and it is bound to look even better against the jets with revis hurt... saying that, the jets held orton down for the most part... not every game will be a blowout and this win was good for the jets because it shows they are resilient and can finally come back and win.

Denver brought everything they had as though this was their Super Bowl, all their tricks, stunts and a special effort. It wasn't enough. We took their best shot and we beat them anyway. I think we'd have an easier time if we played them again tomorrow.

It is better to look less awesome and win than it is to look like a real contender and lose.

Jets defense is nowhere near what it was last year and it's not just the problems caused by Revis. Glad there are two weeks to try and get it fixed.

All things considered, the emotional high of beating Burt and Moss on Monday night, having to travel 3/4's of the way across the country, the altitude and the fact that at some point this team was going to play a bad game the bottom line is they won a game they probably shouldn't have won if you look at the turnovers and all the big plays but Denver played as if thier season depended on winning and they're not a terrible team. It was a good win from the aspect of all the things going against them the pulled out a wi against a quality team on the road. I think you swap the Packers game with the Denver game and we beat them by 2 TD's but they certainly had some luck on their side this week.

I wouldn't exactly call this thread stupid, but it's pretty close. The Jets are playing against everyone's "A-Game". People are coming out to knock us off our pedestal. We are the team to beat now, and the Broncos took their best shot. We all know the Jets weren't firing on cylinders, and we still came out with a WIN. We have a bye week at the perfect time of the year, and we will get healthy. Let's enjoy this must needed win, and look forward to a great 3 phases of O, D, and SP against the Packers.

After a difficult Monday night game, short week, and a trip across the country.

Starting to weaken how? Please explain that.

There offense looked far from great to me. They had been eating up opposing secondaries and we did a pretty good job against that. We gave them the run a little bit, focusing on stopping their strength. Denver has one of the better home field advantages in the league with the altitude and there crowd was so pumped that the damn TV camera was shaking for most of the game.

    yes, they were.

And the 2 phantom offensive pass interference calls, and all the ignored holding calls by the Broncos o-line.

Break my ass. The guy clearly interfered with Holmes and earned the penalty. If he didn't interfere there was a good chance Holmes catches the ball. He almost did even with the interference that turned his frikin head sideways.

Why the hell would you hate Denver more than divisional opponents?

Sorry, this thread is kind of pointless.

On one hand, he is mentioning how the Jets got screwed on calls. Then talks about how the Jets won a tough game. But then they are weak. But then they got lucky.

Not much to do here but sigh.

Wow is he serious? he acts like the every Super Bowl Contender never has problem...

Remember the 16-0 Patriots? they weren't perfect either. If it wasn't for Rex Ryan calling a timeout before a 4th down play which the Patriots failed to convert, their undefeated season was over. And those Ravens were just an average team like the Broncos are yet the Patriots had a hard time in a hostile crowd.

Nothing is going to come easy, everythings going to be a dog fight.

The 1st play of the game the Vikings ran was a trick play. Teams around the league understand that this team can go toe to toe with anybody so the weaker teams are going to pull out all the trick plays. The Broncos played like it was a playoff game and WSW was correct, that place was going nuts and they had something like an "Orange Out" so you know the players fed off that crowd.

This thread sucks and has zero value other to demonstrate the OPs obvious lack of understanding of a road game in Denver of all places.

We've been on the "real contender and lose" side for so long that people don't understand how great it is to be on the other side. Good post.

Every team in the NFL has had games where they look less than awsome. The eventual superbowl champ has already lost at least one game. The Jets won. Take it as a good thing. 5-1 while being 3-0 in division and atop the AFC right now. I don't care if they are ugly wins as long as we keep wining. Good teams find a way to pull these ames out.

We lead the league in fucking wins. Now quit bitching and go have a god damn snack.

Just enjoy the win. With so much parity in this league the days of blowout scores are rapidly dwindling.

denver fans themselves say the broncos played the best game they've ever seen this year. add to that the 12th man (even the CBS cameras were shaking), the short week and long trip, bad officiating, and sanchez's shakey start, not a recipe for winning, but we did anyway.

I came away from this game thinking this is a good team and will get better. i still think the weakest link on this team, which is better than last year, is sanchez and even he's better than last year.

Forget those Pats, remember the Pats teams that actually won it.

Those first two SB seasons they won EVERY game ugly.

This isn't like last year in the NFL where there were 5 or 6 punching bags at this point in the season (and til about week 10). Nobody's that bad other than the Bills, and we chewed them up and spit them out like we were supposed to.
If you expect a Bills type blowout from a short-week, cross-county road trip in an extremely hostile environment against a team so desperate they trotted out Jesus' homeboy AND an onside kick on back-to-back plays, then you're gonna be disappointed.
