or more simply, he is wrong because no team goes undefeated or is perfect every game, so there is nothing unusual about this game or indicative that the Jets ability is in decline.

Thank God we have such football smart people on this board. If not for them, an Idiot like myself would be dumfounded until they all remind me how stupid my post is. Why don't all you guys who find my Thread stupid stay off the thread and guys who want to contribute without the insults can do so.

The point of of me calling the pass interference call a break was not that I thought that the call was wrong. I felt the break came from the Defender who provided the break.

About the weakening part. Hey, I've been watching this team since 1978 and I know all about "Weakening". Sounds like a few of the children who need to bash this thread, either haven't been around long enough to know what I'm talking about or maybe they are just board sitting around and have nothing positive in their lives. Whatever.

I just see a little bit of a softening in the passing game, pass defense game and the run D. Sorry. Thats what I see.

If some of you only want Threads that praise the Jets and don't don't criticize, Your in the wrong place. This is a place for ALL Jets fans, not just you.

    Go ahead. Flame me.

Are you new to the NFL?????? Sorry. but, your OP reaks of lack of knowledge and experience watching an NFL season develop.....

Look back at the recent Super Bowl Winners... Most of the time what they have is a team that stayed healthy, CAUGHT BREAKS and got better as the season went on....

    The Jets

    1) Haven't player near their potential YET ARE 5-1!!!!! Yeah, they caught breaks - they were also jobbed in game 1.

    2) Have an OL that should get better every week as Slauson continues to learn

    3) Have a secondary that should get better every week as they get their #1 CB up to speed, and 2 NEW CB's (Cro and Wilson) up to speed.... The secondary has barely even played together yet at full strength - JUST WAIT

    4) Have A QB still learning every day, with a bye week to prepare and now one of the best WR's in the game to get upt o speed with

As Jets fans, we have every reason to be confident and happy......

Some teams thru the years are a paper tigers and might be 5-1 without a lot of young talent developing or have already peaked... THIS TEAM IS FAR FROM PEAKING YET.....

Like any team, you have to stay healthy - that allows the TEAM to develop and reach it's full potential......

    BRING IT!!!!!!

I say we come out of the Bye FLYING!!!!

You can't watch every game as if it's the 1980's Jets...

Watch every game as if the Miracle Patriots and the Miracle Giants run of late are more of the norm - A team must stay healthy and grow as the season goes on.

As for the passing game weakening - Sheesh, so far IMO, I see a lot more than people expected out of the passing game, especially after game 1....

The Pass D ???? That's all about a secondary witj Two new guys still learning to communicate and the #1 CB not 100% yet.... If you told me Revis was out of the equation I'd be right with you in worrying....

You can Criticize all you want - I'm practically Lord of the Dark Siders my entire life.... But, your post WAS silly.

We have Green Bay coming off our bye week, I don't think a thread like this is warranted unless we see a lackadaisical performance against them, which I don't think will happen.

We won, move on and stop disecting every game like its the Super Bowl. You think the Saints won every game 35-0 last year?

Funny.. I just read a piece by Prisco - A lot of the non-believers in the media about the jets passing game are NOW starting to believe yet I guess some jets fans are not?

    From Prisco:

"I was wrong about the New York Jets.

Before the season, when most everybody else was picking the Jets to win the AFC East and to get to the Super Bowl, I picked them to miss the playoffs.

    Silly me.

There was a reason I thought that. It was quarterback Mark Sanchez. My thinking was too many people were rushing to anoint him as the next great thing. I saw 12 touchdown passes and 20 interceptions as a rookie and thought there would be a growth process.

Sanchez and the Jets have both proven me wrong so far.

Sanchez looks much more sure of himself in the pocket. Even when he had a slow start against the Broncos on Sunday, he hung tough and found a way to make plays to bring his team from behind. "

No, that is not a break. Santonio would have caught the pass if not for the PI. A break would be a PI call on a pass that is not catchable.

If you saw some bad things from the Jets over more than a single game, then yeah you could have good reason to be concerned. But Denver is very tough at home, it was a short week, they were fired up, had a pretty good game plan and a strong passing game. The refs were also a factor which the Jets had to overcome.

    The Jets won.

    That about covers it.

I'm not making excuses, it's why these guys get paid millions.

BUT, I hate, hate, when a team with a short week as to travel cross country.

The NFL must to a better job scheduling, we lost 2 days because of the short week, on a already beaten up team. The bye week came at a perfect time.

This game we almost beat ourselves, I give the Broncos almost no credit, Revis is getting close, but it still a weak spot at times. Cro is the man, and I would like very much for Holmes to hold onto the ball.

No, I think you saw a sophomore QB who was seeing defensive looks that were nothing like what he had been studying on film all week. He panicked for a while, made a few bad decisions, then got ahold of himself, figured it out, and recovered nicely.

    I was pretty fucking impressed.......

Yea I was pretty impressed how Mark was able to turn it around instead of things snowballing on him like it would have last year.

This thread just fails so hard. Apparently a close win means we cant win the superbowl. Its not like the Saints lost last year at all especially not to a team like Tampa Bay either.

no, you saw a single bad game, hardly indicative of weakening. there simply aren't enough games this season in a row to validate your statement and be a cause of concern. the ridiculousness of your post has been explained, and your having watche dthis team since 1978 in no way disputes the criticism.

I'm sick of people listing the short week as a bad thing. Gues what we had a long week against Minny, no one ever says that. Vikings > Gay Horses

A win is a win. I was impressed that we didn't panic. We just kept pace and made it happen. If you can do that against good teams (like BAL, MIN, DEN), you may not win them all, but you will win some and will end up with a very good record and have a very good shot in the playoffs.
