Now before everyone goes nuts at this thread, I know this goes against the very fabric of our being as jets fans. It's almost tough to route for Miami even in a week 17 match up that could put us in the playoffs - that's how much I've been scarred by the "fake spike" and other god awful dolphin crap we've put up with over the years.

But, this week it makes sense to root for the gay sharks IF the Jets are good enough to run away from them in the division. The steelers and Pats are probably our competition for #1 seed right now in the playoffs, and any losses by either team would definitely help down the road...

Am I being pre-mature? Is it too early to think about playoff seeding like this when the dolphins are only 2 games back?

What does us being good have to do with traveling to Miami this weekend?

Yes, I think it is premature. They key is to win the division. Only 6 of 16 games have been played. Root against NE & Miami.

Damn it. Beat me to it. And no, there is no way in hell I'm going to route for Miami. Do you know how far away that is?

I've actually been giving this some thought...but at 15-1 we should be fine either way...I can't decide who to root for. I suppose a tie is best.

The nice part is that we've got Miami, NE and Pit still to go so we just need to take care of business.

having said that, Miami is coming to NY where the other two are road games, so a Miami win is probably best.

Gawd it's awful to say that.

Do you think the Steelers were rooting for the Jets or the Ravens when we played? Division first, everything else will work itself out. Especially seeing how we still play both teams.

As much as i can't stant the Steelers and ther fans, I really dont care who wins. Just be like watching the Pats and Fins play. End up in a tie.

    Is this directed at me?

If so, then I think you should pay a long overdue visit to www.dictionary.com

No, its just wrong on every level. We'll batter the fish when they come up to us and we'll win home field by winning the most games in the AFC.

The route to Miami is simple. Take I-95 south all the way to Miami to the Golden Glades interchange. Take that to the Turnpike and it will take you right past Sun Life Stadium. Have fun there and make sure to root for whomever you so desire.

If you can drive you should be good enough to get there.

I'm sure the OP was very excited about his weekend journey to Miami until you said that you have to be able to drive.

This board's been so peaceful since week three (minus Physco the Buffalo Chip).

I'd rather keep it that way until at least the NE game. Fish win this one and it'll be troll city again.

I think I'll convince myself that Pitt losing is better for the jets, repeating it like a mantra the whole week...
...but when the game starts, I won't give a damn and I'll want the steelers to destroy Miami anyway.

ROOTING for Miami. Pitt needs a loss and Ben got a warm up against a terrible team. Hopefully the gayfish will spank Rapist berger. I am confident the Jets will take care of the fish when they visit us in December.

If the regular season ended after Week 7, I'd be rooting for Miami.

    It doesn't, fuck the Phins.

    Go Steelers

All I want is the best record in the Conference or second best, get a bye week and play 2 games to get to the SB, who we play does not matter, it's going to be difficult no matter who plays and that's why I would prefer to play just 2 games in the playoffs.

I want Miami to lose every game they have left.
