Merriman is an idiot if he dosen't. He needs to play this year to get ANY semblance of a nice contract. Otherwise he may be done, period.

Titans the only team to put in a waiver claim for Moss. that goes to show how much the rest of the league thinks of Moss, and how desperate the Titans are.

I wouldn't say its a desperation move, its just that Fisher knows its pretty low risk if Moss does some dumb shit just cut his ass not a big deal.

Randy Moss and Chris Johnson might be the dumbest tandem in football. Those two are just smart enough to know how to breathe and poop. Yet they are richer than I'll ever be. FML!!!!!

it is hardly low risk because they would still have to pay his $2 million or whatever is left of his salary this season. you actually think teams prefer to operate by simply throwing money out the door for players not on the team and consider doing such low risk? that's ridiculous.

Britt must be hurt pretty badly IMO. I think Fisher can handle a guy like Randy.

Plus, Young can run around and heave balls 75-80 yards down field. That's Moss' game anyway.

Presumably this now fucks any remote chance Minnesota had of having their grievance claim upheld?

Merriman has to, he is on a 1 year deal. He has to show something if he thinks he is going to get a decent amount of FA money.

Why wouldn't he, too goodfor the Bills? He is nothing more then a former shell of himself and has done NOTHING the past 3 years. Chris freakin Kelsay has double the sacks he does th past 3 years. That being said Im excited to see what he can do, I'll take him over Kelsay and Torbor anyday.

I thought I read talk about Minnesota filing a grievance with the NFL against the Patriots over the trade in the hope of getting their third back. I may be mistaken.

So, I'm guessing Jets fans would be happier with Aaron Maybin on their team than Shawn Merriman? Cmon guys, the Bills are 0-7. What damage could signing Merriman do on this season?

Tell me about it, but thats if the good Moss is on and off the field so I could see why everyone passed him up.

I don't think Merriman makes a bit of difference in the standings at the end of the year.
