Well I'll say that the win against the Lions was particularly aggravating for this Pats fans. It was bad enough that the Patriots humiliated themselves but for the Jets to pull one out of their butt really hurts. Even more so when the Lions lost an extra point due to their kicker being hurt. Big point! That and the fact that the Browns just finished their season with their win against the Patriots and will now probably get their asses kicked the rest of the season.

Any win is a good win, so enjoy them.

That was too close for comfort.

    I'm glad I wasn't drinking yesterday, or I may have blacked out a W.

    Really?

You implying that royal shellacking was a lucky win by the Browns?

Definitely. The Jets have the ability to beat the Browns, and if all thing were normal, they should. However, the Jets are going to lose if they have the same mediocre production as in the last few games. I honestly don't know what they need to do to fix it, but if they don't, they won't win next week. In fact, it might be a blowout.

Peyton Hillis is the only reason the Browns have a shot in any game and we all know how good the Jets run defense is. I'm not worried. Stop Hillis and the Jets win.

We've been saying for the past 3 games that we should be able to run the ball well against 3 bad run defenses, and we've yet to do it because it's easier said than done.

The same is true about stopping Hillis. Don't you think the Pats said the same thing? They couldn't do it. We have a better run defense than the Pats, but stopping Hillis won't be as easy as you think. I'm hoping they find a way to put the game in McCoy's hands and hope he plays like a rookie.

We need to play the Browns the way everyone is playing defense against the Jets. Make the QB beat you with his arm, not the running backs.

Yea, i want 9 in the box to stop Hillis. I'm not convinced we can stop him either. He's the best RB in this league, in terms of just pure north-south power. And yes, I considered Adrian Peterson. We just need to completely stop him.

For one thing, they need to come ready to play from the opening kickoff. Too many games this year, they don't seem ready for the game. Coaching staff needs to improve (2, 12 on the field w/in 3 plays, unbelievable). Concentration needs to get better, too many dropped passes, strips, stupid penalties. I'm thinking the week off during the bye hurt this team.

The Pats D sucks though, 29th in pass D, 21st in rush D. They suck.

It was only a matter of time before they got exposed again, I'm sure Rex had a few talks with his bro last week too.

The Jets also made Adrian Peterson/Ray Rice a non factor.

Oh no, it was terrible. The Browns just flat outplayed the Patriots. But sometimes you just chalk it up to a bad, bad game.

But despite all that if the Jets had lost at least the Patriots would have still had the advantage in the AFCE. And with something like 4 minutes left Detroit had a 10 point lead. So the Jets win was particularly aggravating.

Arrogant? Oh really? The Jets deserve the win 100% but it was by the narrowest of margins. A lot of Jets fans realize that.

Absolutely. It was fun to see the Pats on top mid-season with a defense that looked like they were definitely improving but only a completely blind Pats fan would not recognize that there are still a lot of weaknesses on that team.

Belichick always says "Don't believe the hype" and he was certainly right this Sunday.

With the upcoming games like Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, the Jets etc the AFC East will remain a dogfight.

I had to miss the game yesterday, well the best part anyway. Does anyone know whether it will be one of the NFL Repay games on NFL Network?

Stopping the run and running on someone are two completely different things. You can stop the run more easily by adding personnel packages designed to do that.

Putting bigger bodies on the field just to run the ball does not make it that much easier to consistently run the ball for distances sufficient to sustain drives.

The basis of a good offense is balance. The ability to have success running and passing.

The Browns don't have the same offense as the teams we've faced in the past two weeks. They simply don't have the quality weapons to spread the ball out against us like GB and Detroit. Having said that, Hillis had tremendous success against us the last time we faced him, and will certainly wear down our defensive front.

We'll need to be opportunistic early, when we have the ability to contain Hillis. Bottle him up early and seize the chance to force McCoy into mistakes, then actually capitalize.

Defensively, the Browns are an improving unit. The key is to take control of this game early on defense and through the passing game.

This sounds like me talking to a Pats fan anywhere from the moment Tom Brady became the starter through about 2005 or so.

it sounds to me like a whiny asshole not giving credit where credit is due because the only team he expects to come back from deficits are his team.
