Ravens at Falcons- Already got what we wanted, with Baltimore losing and a Jet win this Sunday, we're back on top of them baby. The Ravens scared me because we have no control over them and they lead us in the tiebreaker. Awesome loss, which just benefited us.

Patriots at Steelers- I would love it if these teams could somehow find a way to tie, but of course you gotta go for the Steelers. It is still too early in the year to root for the Pats in any way, we still need to take a division that is far from being locked up. Either way, the good news is that one of these teams has to lose so its a win-win for us.

Tennessee at Miami- I don't know about you guys, but I think Miami winning here is better for us. Tennessee is 5-3 and could potentially be a threat for the wild card spot (hopefully we wont need a WC spot, but...). Miami isn't going anywhere this year and its a tad bit foolish to think that a team who just gave up on their future QB and is at 4-4 is a threat to us anymore. Besides, who can't root for Chad to succeed?

Indy v Cincinnati- Indy's another threat to home field, hope Cincy pulls the upset.

Cincy and Pitt are the obvious ones. Tennessee winning and Miami winning have similar outcomes, but it never hurts to eliminate the team in your division. Miami's schedule gets a little easier after this one. If they can knock off the Titans, there's a chance they can make the playoffs. If they lose, they're in deep trouble.

Always root against Miami & Patriots... and in games like the one they have this week... root for injuries on both sides :p

I just want Chad to do well, its kinda like I want him to throw 300 yards and 3 tds, but the Dolphins still lose type of game.

Pats could easily drop the next two (Pitt, Colts) which would give us a stranglehold on the division, assuming we take care of business.

Miami's got a short week Thursday night vs. Chicago, so they could drop two as well

Def need Cincy to beat Indy. Pitt needs to beat NE and Tenn needs to beat Miami.

This is easy. Root for the Jets. If we take care of our own business it doesn't matter what other teams do.

Instead of rooting for teams to win, I like to root for them to lose.

    Makes me feel better.

so you'll be rooting for the Steelers to beat the Bills in a few weeks regardless of the fact that the Bills aren't any threat for the playoffs but the Steelers will likely be competing with the Jets for a playoff spot?

your argument then depends on the Jets going undefeated the rest of the season. while I would love to see it happen, it probably isn't, thus we need other teams to still lose one or two more games, so for you to think that it doesn't matter what other teams do simply doesn't reflect the likely reality of the rest of the season.

    Steelers is a no brainer.

Especially since we play them later this year. Team that wins that game should be the favorite for the #1 seed anyway

I go with all of your calls except rooting for the Dolphins. A 6-3 Tennessee team doesn't scare me, but letting the Dolphins back in the door does. Bury them to 4-5 and let them start squabbling in the locker room. I also don't agree with your reasoning that they "just gave up on their future QB."

Checkdown Chad will be behind center just long enough for Henne to "see the field from another perspective" and just long enough for Chad's Chinese Firedrills and short dumpoffs to emerge and stiffle all 3rd down conversions, at which time Henne will be welcomed back with open fins. While I still like Pennington, this is no time to root for him. Bury the Dolphins this week.

Question for you. Now that the Ravens lost to drop to 6-3, would you still prefer that the Fins had beat them last week leaving the Fins at 5-3 and the Ravens at 5-4? I'm not trying to argue with you on this subject again, I'm just curious as to what your opinion is on that.

Root for the fins? You nuts?

    Bury that shitty franchise.

Titans have two against Indy still.

    Patriots at Steelers- Steelers.
Pats still have a very good chance to win AFC East. Pats victory over Jets next time they meet means both of them will only have 1 divisional loss.

Steelers have lots of strong opponents left ... hot Raiders teams, Ravens & Bengals & of course the Jets. They'll lose again.

    Tennessee at Miami- Miami.
Don't think the Dolphins have a shot @ the division. Jets have a 2 game lead in overall standings & in divisional record. Plus I don't think Miami is capable of winning 3 games in a row. If they beat Titans, they've got a loss coming right afterwards.

Also rooting for the Bungles to take down Manning.
